The cowboys will shock the nfl this year!

if so then we obviously don't have good QB play, which means we can start to look for the next feel good story at QB and pay him 80 milllion a year
Personally, I hope I'm correct because Prescott isn't leading this team anywhere near a decent finish in the Eastern Div, let alone a playoff run. Prescott has proven over and over again that he lacks the balls to get this team to the next level. He's made a ton of money that he didn't deserve, and let's hope this is Prescott's last season as the Cowboy starting QB. We have suffered enough with this overpaid, over hyped, less than mediocre QB.

totally agree!

Wow ,well thanks for bolstering why I posted this,

because it is and has happened to others and since everyone's least expecting us to do it I'm calling it now calling my shot,

keep a receipt don't tell me it's not going to happen because it could happen because we haven't even played game one so I'm keeping the dream alive i'm keeping it alive all the way to the 17th week and when we make it as a wild card team and people are still saying we can't do it,

we're going to turn into the New York Giants and we're going to have all our players back healthy and we're going to go on a run that's right those Eli Manning years where he led the league in interceptions where they barely were 500 and somehow beat the New England Patriots two years to win the Super Bowl that's what I'm talking about brother..
I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for this to happen…..lol

I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for this to happen…..lol
Sometimes I wonder if Cowboys fans live in a bubble and act like this doesn't happen to other teams there are other teams that never been to a championship game some have never been to a Super Bowl many have never won a Super Bowl..

The Kansas City Chiefs took 56 years to get back and win a Super Bowl you realize that's a lot longer that they waited and they got rewarded for their patience I hate to break it to you but the Eagles who are in this league at the same time as the Cowboys in 1960 didn't win their first Super Bowl until 2017 is that strange that that's also over 50 years waiting on a Super Bowl I mean it's crazy how the Cincinnati Bengals who everyone thought was about to become another beginnings of a dynasty with Joe Burrow it's because they got to a Super Bowl and lost it you know that 31 years before that they got to and lost the Super Bowl they had 31 year gap between losses..

There have been teams all across sports some I remember there was like a 100 year curse to one of the baseball teams a hundred years I mean this is nowhere close not in the NFL or anywhere around other sports of a drought so yes it sucks we all have been waiting but you've been living in a bubble if you think this is something other teams haven't experienced many teams at least for us and let me be clear we're waiting on number 6 jerry's waiting on number 4 this is not our first rodeo this is not our second our drought seems bad but at least we're waiting on number 6 that is a big deal to me it matters what happened in the past history doesn't get erased because you're upset at the ownership..

And lastly and I know it's no big deal I just like to point out that people discount us winning divisions and being one of the top teams in the regular season as far as winning percentage that's why we're on prime time it's not like we're sitting at the bottom of the seller here people want to make it like this is like the worst thing ever now the Cleveland Browns haven't even won a division since 1989.. When you put that into perspective yes it sucks to be waiting the narratives all suck but it's not that big a deal it's gonna happen it's gonna be sweeter because it was so much tougher to achieve...

And also remember that the Dallas Mavericks the Dallas Stars and the Texas Rangers together only have three titles and their history together not each team like Jerry has three though Jerry has three in the rest of our Dallas teams have three total together just keep some perspective here...

But I digress I try to use common sense because complaining about it's not going to make it happen quicker..

This 2025 Team will go to the NFC championship game.

They are going to come from the very back that everyone says we’re gonna be last and just about anything and everything in here, keep telling me that we’re going to be worse than last year that they did nothing to improve and we lost more players and we put back.

They will be that long shot horse and are going to come around the final stretch and will at least make the NFC championship game this year.

I was Cowboys will be the shock of this NFL season, just like Washington was last year, just like we’ve seen the Jets ,we seen one time the Jaguars did it , they are coming.

Coaching staffs gonna be the best teachers schemers, play collars and game planners we’ve had in a decade they’re gonna take an average team and take them to the championship game!

This is my crazy prediction.

Keep receipts,

the way I see it if the San Francisco 49ers can make a Super Bowl with Kaepernick and they made another Super Bowl with Garoppolo and a three headed committee at running back. You know the running back by committee. Everybody seems to be against here, but Christian McCaffrey didn’t help their cause. I mean they did the same thing without him They’ve done it before without one back that’s great.

The only disclaimer I’m putting on it if we’re riddled with injury like last year and lost too many key players, I Reserve the right to take it back , but if we have a healthy season, at least relatively normal season of injuries for the NFL ,nothing crazy ,

we are going to the NFC championship game.

This is my daily double lead pipe lock….

10.75% of the poser negative then we have to have these. I’m going full Rockport on this I’m going over the top like cc and I’m just doing it market down boys. 10.75% of the poser negative then we have to have these. Good Post and I totally agree ,this team is for real .This is my 52nd season I have optimism in my bones.

This pretty much invalidates the whole post as you'll fall back on the injury excuse regardless. Injury risk is a major reason why some are down on the Cowboys to begin with. You have a QB coming off a hamstring issue which are at an elevated risk of reinjury. Its only May and two starters in Overshown and Diggs are likely to start on the PUP. Your 3rd round CB is dicey about being ready for the opener. The best player on the team Micah Parsons gets banged up every year. I would say that the Cowboys should anticipate fairly high injury numbers once again just based on the structure of their roster.

Several teams suffered more injuries than the Cowboys last year, a few of them playoff teams.

Team# of Injuries# of Games missed
Detroit Lions44254
Cleveland Browns51248
Miami Dolphins46227
San Francisco 49ers56226
Pittsburgh Steelers37223
Tennessee Titans43205
Houston Texans47201
Tampa Bay Buccaneers42201
L.A. Chargers47192
Dallas Cowboys39190
That lions team last year was a medical disaster…..such a stacked team with sooooo many injuries, that team should have been in the SB if not for all the injuries.

One of the most humorous things I ever read on this forum is someone saying, “I’m so tired of this negative stuff. All we get around here is negative opinions.” Which is of course a VERY negative opinion as well, LOL!

IMO…some of the most negative things ever said on this forum occur when someone says “this is just another negative thread”, “everything you say is negative” or “oh, another negative thread about _____.”

What’s more negative on an opinion forum than people complaining about “all the negativity around here”.
I was in complete agreement with your points up to this one. While I agree with what I think you are generally trying to say, my read of your post is the negativity comes from the legitimate conveyance of a differing point of view. But for me, that is not the issue.

The issue isn’t the differing (negative) opinions but the personal insults and snide remarks expressed through those opinions, whether direct or indirect. You can have a differing opinion while being respectful…you don’t have to minimize or invalidate another’s opinion to express your own. But many on this site (on both sides) have become incapable of considering an alternate point of view without making it personal.

IMO, the phrase “touch grass” perfectly sums up what needs to happen with many on this site.

LOL.... I wonder how this makes the OP feel?
Who says stupid things shouldnt be surprised to been seen as a stupid person.

So in the best interesst of him i for sure hope it makes him feel the way he shows himself. First good step in the self reflection process.

But i cant say for sure it does. In fact i am quite pessimistic.

Since OP has me on iggy, there is a bit of a difference with what Washington did last year:

- Kind of had a franchise QB make his mark in the league
- Kind of brought in a new owner who is serious about winning
- Kind of brought in a HC who brought in a winning culture
- Kind of had an okay team to build on from the year before
- Kind of more active that Jerry was in FA

The situations are nowhere near the same, but this is Blueguyblood
we kind of have an okay team to build on
you dont know what Schottenheimer will be yet

Haha...

So you think you cant judge Schitty by what he has done so far in his career? Extrapolate it to a certain degree?

Suddenly in Dallas under the lable of a HC he will become someone completly different?

That would then mean learning in school is not worth anything. Just because knowledge from the past is not worth to be used for future education.

I just wonder how all those 2nd contracts or high draft picks can be explained if not by a certain degree of judging from the past and extrapolating for what to be expected from a player in the future.

.....

Yet you’re still here. Hmm, one must question why?
If you have any optimism about Dallas football your a bad guy to some around here ,The Dallas Cowboys are improving right before our eyes let the good times roll.I am excited about the coaching staff and the new players and the vision of coach Schottenheimer.

Yep. They lurk for anything positive to be posted and then attack. The rest of the time they do nothing but whine. But there are some good folks here as well.

You predicted SuperBowl last year.

Holy krap I hate this time of year when we suck:

Make baseless "predictions" (i.e. repackaging what you WISH would happen, into a concocted prediction)

Throw prediction after prediction against the wall, go silent when 99 out of 100 don't happen, come back and crow when on the 100th you predict Dallas will finish Top 5 in kickoff coverage or some lame stat and it hits on a fluke.

Growling all along the way, making up lame nicknames and geeking out once again in Sept and Oct,....then go dormant once the losses start and the season flames out for the 30th time in a row,, and awake next spring after the draft again with more "hot takes"
