The cowboys will shock the nfl this year!

Yep. They lurk for anything positive to be posted and then attack. The rest of the time they do nothing but whine. But there are some good folks here as well.
Very well said Rockport , I am wanting to see this running game get going in a big way ,as well as the defensive line able to stop the run .Those are the keys to a deep playoff run.

This 2025 Team will go to the NFC championship game.

They are going to come from the very back that everyone says we’re gonna be last and just about anything and everything in here, keep telling me that we’re going to be worse than last year that they did nothing to improve and we lost more players and we put back.

They will be that long shot horse and are going to come around the final stretch and will at least make the NFC championship game this year.

I was Cowboys will be the shock of this NFL season, just like Washington was last year, just like we’ve seen the Jets ,we seen one time the Jaguars did it , they are coming.

Coaching staffs gonna be the best teachers schemers, play collars and game planners we’ve had in a decade they’re gonna take an average team and take them to the championship game!

This is my crazy prediction.

Keep receipts,

the way I see it if the San Francisco 49ers can make a Super Bowl with Kaepernick and they made another Super Bowl with Garoppolo and a three headed committee at running back. You know the running back by committee. Everybody seems to be against here, but Christian McCaffrey didn’t help their cause. I mean they did the same thing without him They’ve done it before without one back that’s great.

The only disclaimer I’m putting on it if we’re riddled with injury like last year and lost too many key players, I Reserve the right to take it back , but if we have a healthy season, at least relatively normal season of injuries for the NFL ,nothing crazy ,

we are going to the NFC championship game.

This is my daily double lead pipe lock….

10.75% of the poser negative then we have to have these. I’m going full Rockport on this I’m going over the top like cc and I’m just doing it market down boys. 10.75% of the poser negative then we have to have these. I do believe we are going to make some progress this year I think the coaching staff is sending a message that the culture needs to change.
I think we are going to be a tougher more physical team that should be able to run the ball.

From previous experience being able to run the ball give us some good football to watch which is pretty much all I ask for anymore.

If we can somehow come up with enough talent on the defensive line to stop the run. There is a chance we can make the playoffs providing we don't have a run on injuries like we did last year.

I'm not going to make any bold statements like we're going to the NFC championship game or Super bowl but I'm satisfied to see that our new coach is trying to create a culture of players that actually care about winning football games not just getting paid and I think that is where it all starts.

The football players on your team have to be fans of the game and of the team and it has to actually mean something to them to win not just collect a paycheck.

This is where it starts creating a winning culture and it doesn't happen overnight could be a 3-year process to collect all the right players but when it happens it will be very satisfying

Good Post I love it Go Cowboys .I too like what I am seeing ,I want to see Dallas run for 225 against Philadelphia next season ,that would please me.

Dallas plays a very difficult schedule. They play 6 games that I believe they will be favored, NYG twice, Carolina, Arizona, Las Vegas, and NYJ.

If Dallas sweeps these games they only have to go 4-7 with the rest of the schedule to win 10 games.

Inside the division Dallas goes 1-3 or 2-2 versus Philadelphia and Washington. They play GB and Minnesota at home, I think they win one. I think Dallas can beat LAC at home. Right there is three to four wins.

I believe Dallas can beat Denver on the road.

I believe Dallas has a ceiling of 11-6 and a floor of 9-8. Dallas will be in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Denver & Nix and coach P will be a tough road game . If memory serves Dallas has had trouble winning in that city .

They are going to suck for the first half and look like a team nobody wants to play in the backhalf.

2026 is the year they will be on the upswing, they needed 2 drafts to replace people lost bc they refuse to use FA.

sure, but to compare us to the Commanders of 2024? This is not even a conversation
The only thing you can compare them to right now is themselves from last year. And that was bad. Hopefully the myriad of changes going on will produce.

Just an FYI when using 10-7 as a barometer of success when making the playoffs, there wasn’t a single team in the playoffs from the NFC last season with that record. Worst record in the NFC that wasn’t a division winner was greenbay at 11-6. Seattle had an 10-7 record last year and missed the playoffs.

The three wildcard records were 14-3, 12-5, and 11-6. Going to really want to be shooting for 11 wins in a season if you’re serious about making the playoffs.

After 3 decades, I'm a "show me first" type of guy. They are trash until proven otherwise.

My feeling also. The pretty boy crap can go.

Punks and thugs until further notice.

America's Team. So they say.

This pretty much invalidates the whole post as you'll fall back on the injury excuse regardless. Injury risk is a major reason why some are down on the Cowboys to begin with. You have a QB coming off a hamstring issue which are at an elevated risk of reinjury. Its only May and two starters in Overshown and Diggs are likely to start on the PUP. Your 3rd round CB is dicey about being ready for the opener. The best player on the team Micah Parsons gets banged up every year. I would say that the Cowboys should anticipate fairly high injury numbers once again just based on the structure of their roster.

Several teams suffered more injuries than the Cowboys last year, a few of them playoff teams.

Which teams lost their starting QB, CB ??

Free Agency was as it normally is, totally useless and JAG's. The only hope we have is that the apparent strong draft comes through

It's not impossible.

I have noticed that most media experts never take injuries into consideration when evaluating the ranking of a team going into the new season.

It's as if the Cowboys didn't lose all four EDGE players after four games with Lawson and Golston starting in game #5.

It's not like Diggs and Bland only started together in one game last season.

It's like the starting CB wasn't rookie Caelon Carson, then Andrew Booth, then Amani Oruwariye, then Caelon Carson, then Josh Butler, then Trevon Diggs.

It's like Dak, the starting QB didn't miss half the season. It's like our 2nd best defender, Overshown wasn't lost for the season. It wasn't like our WR2, Brandin Cooks didn't miss almost half the season. It's like Zack Martin didn't miss 7 games.

Despite being the #1 ranked offense just the season before, they have assumed that all these injuries really didn't make much of a difference, the Cowboys just forgot how to play football.

Give the Cowboys all their All-Pros playing in all 17 games and having Parsons, Martin, Bland, Diggs in every game wouldn't have affected the outcome?

Give the Cowboys a EDGE rotation of Parsons, Lawrence, Williams, Kneeland and Golston for all 17 games and their pass rush would have still been ineffective?

Let Bland, Diggs, and Lewis play together a whole season and there wouldn't have been more takeaways?

Keep all five starting O-linemen on the field all season long and the offense wouldn't have been more effective?

All of this with a new DC?

Getting into the NFC championship would be the 2nd biggest shock. Staying healthy enough to do it would be the first.

Sometimes I wonder if Cowboys fans live in a bubble and act like this doesn't happen to other teams there are other teams that never been to a championship game some have never been to a Super Bowl many have never won a Super Bowl..

The Kansas City Chiefs took 56 years to get back and win a Super Bowl you realize that's a lot longer that they waited and they got rewarded for their patience I hate to break it to you but the Eagles who are in this league at the same time as the Cowboys in 1960 didn't win their first Super Bowl until 2017 is that strange that that's also over 50 years waiting on a Super Bowl I mean it's crazy how the Cincinnati Bengals who everyone thought was about to become another beginnings of a dynasty with Joe Burrow it's because they got to a Super Bowl and lost it you know that 31 years before that they got to and lost the Super Bowl they had 31 year gap between losses..

There have been teams all across sports some I remember there was like a 100 year curse to one of the baseball teams a hundred years I mean this is nowhere close not in the NFL or anywhere around other sports of a drought so yes it sucks we all have been waiting but you've been living in a bubble if you think this is something other teams haven't experienced many teams at least for us and let me be clear we're waiting on number 6 jerry's waiting on number 4 this is not our first rodeo this is not our second our drought seems bad but at least we're waiting on number 6 that is a big deal to me it matters what happened in the past history doesn't get erased because you're upset at the ownership..

And lastly and I know it's no big deal I just like to point out that people discount us winning divisions and being one of the top teams in the regular season as far as winning percentage that's why we're on prime time it's not like we're sitting at the bottom of the seller here people want to make it like this is like the worst thing ever now the Cleveland Browns haven't even won a division since 1989.. When you put that into perspective yes it sucks to be waiting the narratives all suck but it's not that big a deal it's gonna happen it's gonna be sweeter because it was so much tougher to achieve...

And also remember that the Dallas Mavericks the Dallas Stars and the Texas Rangers together only have three titles and their history together not each team like Jerry has three though Jerry has three in the rest of our Dallas teams have three total together just keep some perspective here...

But I digress I try to use common sense because complaining about it's not going to make it happen quicker..
Other teams’ lack of success does not ease the disappointment enduring years of the Cowboys falling short.

Which teams lost their starting QB, CB ??
CB? Probably several

QB? Did it really matter? The cowboys were 3-5 with Dak, 4-5 without him. As far as playoff teams go both Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts missed two games. Russell Wilson missed 6 games and those teams went a combined 7-3 without their starting QBs.

Good teams find ways to win in spite of adversity even at QB. Philly won a Super Bowl that way. SF went to a NFCCG with a 3rd string rookie just a few years ago.

Claim injuries all you want but injuries were not the reason the cowboys were horrid along the OL, nor were they the reason the Cowboys struggled against the run for the….I’ve forgotten how many years straight that’s been an issue now. The 2024 Cowboys were simply not a very good football team.
