If you are not drafting QBs high in the draft, your chances diminish quite a bit. Jerry still hasn't learned this lesson since 1989.
Well, he said last year he wishes he'd of invested in QBs more each draft didn't take one in draft but did trade for Lance.

I think this a McCarthy influence on him to be honest

This is everything to do with culture. Shiny objects all over the Star. Trophies. Marketing. Glamour. It’s like they’ve won something

Like 5 Super Bowls? Visit a local high school (if you're allowed that close to schools), they also display trophies and accomplishments. And yeah, they market. First and foremost, the NFL is a business. Everyone is in it to make money anymore. It's not about love of the game. Very few are playing just because they love football and want to win. They want the money.

Yes, Jerry is willing to pay, that has always been his answer.

In fact, that is what is wrong with the culture aspect of this franchise. To this day, Jerry doesn't understand that he can't buy a championship. He has to earn one by building a team capable of defeating the rest of the NFL:

Growing up, Jerry Jones has never needed to fight for success and learn from failure. Those battles and the way we fight them is what builds character.

Jerry Jones's first job after college was as a vice president.....in his father's company.

What has all that got to do with winning championships? Got news for you. Those 3 rings were 29 years ago. Anyone that starts out touting something that happened that long ago and thinks it matters NOW is out to lunch.
Jerry is the ONE SINGLE CONSTANT FOR ALL THOSE YEARS
Anyone not realizing that THAT has to be the key problem is a football idiot

Post is spot on.

When Jimmy was in charge you knew if you didn’t perform you were out of a job. These days Jerry is running a country club and there is no accountability. Jerry has picked some nice players over the years but he has not built a physical team that is built to win it all.

I'm just saying he was also a constant during those 3 championship runs. Should we just disregard the fact we ever won anything? Do you think we automatically win a championship the moment Jerry steps down (dies)?

Jimmy also didn't have to deal with a salary cap. And it's not like he was cutting guys like Irvin for doing drugs and stabbing people. He was cutting backups that had All Pros in front of them.

Whats strange is that JJ was instrumental in bringing in the salary cap. Leading the way because he knew what he was doing.. He used the check book to get a great team together. A dynasty that could have won probly 5 rings. But his stupid pride and jealousy got in the way. But he wanted to make sure nobody else could buy one. He knew he was gonna start the contract with Nike and get other sponsor money. It’s all about the money. His team winning now no longer matters..

Out of curiosity hoping you can explain something.

If JJ is as inept as many say he is and hires yes men including MM, and MM has coached the team to 3 straight 12-5 finishes, first coach to do that and 3 straight playoff appearances first coach since the 90s, and is a yes man...

How does that make JJ inept since he's directing all of as you claim??
Lol the 12-5 records are against crap division crap teams. Most wins against sub .500 teams. It’s a mirage. Next year first place schedule against afc north. Gonna be ugly

Once he ran off Jimmy we knew what his agenda and priorities were.

He had to be the face of his franchise regardless the results. Winning wasn’t the top priority if he wasn’t getting credit.

some fans rather lose without Jerry than win with him, its been that way since the day he bought the team

So, no answer.

Sounds about par for the course
