I call BS on this pass-coverage excuse making, he was beaten several time tonight alone, and his failure to tackle on that 4th down play on the Saints last drive is simply inexcusable. He is completely USELESS against the run. It was obvious the Saints found our weakness underneath in LB coverage, and hit us there whenever they could.

Carpenter on the field is an affront to all that is holy.

Sorry, there is nooone better. Brookings and James are worse because they don't have the speed to do it at all and would get abused.

It is tough for an ILB to run with a quick TE all the way across the field. The pressure is supposed to arrive by then.

next year he is probably gone but not this year.

Carpenter is our best ILB in coverage right now. We need him because we don't have anyone better yet. Maybe next season Jason Williams will be ready.

Carpenter makes mistake, after mistake, after mistake. 4 and 10 with the game on the line and his guy catches 2 yards short of the 1st down, yet Carpenter goes for the knock down instead of the solid tackle. He needs to go to. His crap is old.

I'd keep RW around for another year....if he doesn't get it figured out after that...then good bye....he does have like 5 TD's over the past 3 games.

You have to believe that even Jerry sees that Folk has to go after tonight. At the very least, IR him and let him try again next year. He very nearly cost the game tonight. Its insane that he is still here.

I am not as much disappointed in FOlk as I am in RW. folk has been choking consistently all season. I think its his hip surgery that's playing with his mind and right now he has no confidence. but RW, you got to farging make that catch. perfect pass. right in the hands and he loses focus and the ball. damn idiot.
