Saints are 0-5 since their Superbowl Parade in Dallas.

Lions face the Vikings, Titans, Packers and Texans in the next 4 games.

Detroit will NOT have a bigger audience unless they make the playoffs.

Will Dan Campbell try that goofy stuff in the next 4 games?

We will see!!
The chiefs, niners and ravens bring out that too but for completely different reasons. Teams love beating the Cowboys because of the marquee value they have had for decades. It’s not because they fear Dallas like the chiefs or niners.

Most people under 25 don't know the nickname "America's Team", and if asked who it was, they'd probably guess the Chiefs, or even Wash since it's the capitol

Most people 25 to 40 have heard it, but just laugh at it as a cheesball ham sandwhich goofy thing dorks say.

The older people who still cling to that nickname with pride are just living in the past, wearing their dad-sketchers with blue Jean shorts, box of VHS tapes from our glory days in the attic, living in a fantasy land that they're football royalty that the whole world is obsessed with.

Like the guy who used to be kind of a good varsity football player on his high school team back in 1982. Fast forward 40 years, and he's got a lame low paying job, no family, but still struts around Walmart with his mullet and wife beater T, beer gut jiggling, stinking of cigarettes, but in his own mind everyone around him is in awe that the 7th best quarterback in his district in 1982 is in their presence, and all the chicks are digging on him. In his own mind the Big Game was just last Friday Night. Yet, in reality, all anyone around him sees, is an old, grimy looking loser that smells bad.

WE'RE EVERYONE'S SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!

I do believe there is something to this. A lot of teams really get fired up to play Dallas and when they win they go overboard with the celebration. I have seen it many time where teams beat Dallas and have a letdown the next week.

The Lions, though, are a good team. They were fired up to beat Dallas, for sure, but they are still a good team. I don't think they are as good as they looked against Dallas. New Orleans looked that good too when they beat Dallas. I still think the Lions are a better team than the Vikings and Packers, although we'll see how much losing Hutchinson hurts them on defense. The Cowboys offense is pathetic so holding them to 9 points is not great achievement. I think the Lions secondary is vulnerable. Without a pass rush it is even more vulnerable. I expect the real Sam Darnold to show up any game now.

I think it works in Detroit's favor they are playing their division rival this week. It's less likely they would have a letdown. If they were playing a non-division team then I would expect there might be a letdown.

no we are not the superbowl. we are the warm up act. like big colleges, inviting these small schools knowing they are just going to get to round out their game and get ready for real tough opponents.
