The Dark Knight Rises Trailer #2 in HD

In hindsight, maybe destroying Gotham wasn't such a bad idea after all?

This .....

It should be good ..... just wish they would have picked a more iconic villain than Bane.

Bane is pretty iconic, he's the one who "broke the bat"

He and Doomsday were both created in the early 90's to "jolt" DC comics and try and give their two most popular characters a 90's harder edge.

They were both gimmick characters pulled out of hat with no background or character development.

All their history and development was retconed later by different writers.

Now saying all that, I still think it will be a great movie.

....Bane is a physical and mental challenge for Batman.

All retconned later.

When Bane first appeared he was just big strong guy hopped up on "venom" who Batman underestimated physically.

His mercenary and educational background was written years later to give the character needed depth.

I'm pretty sure this was Bane's first appearance: http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Batman:_Vengeance_of_Bane_Vol_1_1

The Knightfall saga has its flaws, but he's both a physical and mental threat to Batman in it.
