Simply put, the Star Wars Trilogy was a cultural phenomenon.
For that alone, it earns the #1 spot.
I'd put the Godfather Trilogy second simply based off of the strength of the first two films.
But Nolan's Batman Trilogy has left its' mark and is now right up there with some of the best ever.
