I often need a 24 hour cooling off period after a Cowboys loss. As I reflect back now...

I always break down the season schedule into quarters and figure out how many games they will win out of each 4-game cluster. Ironically, this year I have them 2-2 in all 4 segments of the season.

So, they are 1-1. And if they had to be 1-1, they won the correct game.

KC is a brutally tough place to play...as long as their team is 2-9 or something like that. You give their fans any hope and they make it tough.

They get the Rams and then at San Diego. I believe they win one of the two. So this team so far is about what I expected.

Just out of curiousity, did anyone have them 2-0 to start this season? Or 3-1 after 4 games?

Last thing...is anyone on here the guy that called into WFAN in NY this afternoon as the "distraught Cowboys fan" ? I freakin loved that call.

I had them go 3-1. With the only lost against the Chargers in week 4.

The reality is that, in terms of the playoffs and that sort of thing, a non-conference loss on the road doesn't have much impact.

But it is just another in a long line of examples where this team can't play a full 60 minutes and is completely inept offensively on the road. Thats why, to me, this loss is troubling.

I had them 3-1 and losing to KC......but the way the offense is playing I am not to confident of us winning two in a row.

I had them 3-1 after 4 games but I honestly thought the loss would be to the Giants.

If they go 3-1 at this point then I'll be fine with that for sure.

The next loss i had them with was the Broncos.

Had 3-1 myself. The lone loss was to either NY or KC. The Rams at home should be a win and the Cowboys play well on the left coast(excluding Seattle or Arizona if ya want to count them).

These games are those much needed wins the team looks back on in week 17, saying "would of, should of, could of". Instead they will probably be playing in a do or die game in the last week.

For some reason I wasn't even that mad yesterday. I kinda expected it.

I've had 24 hours to stew and now im just more upset now than I was when the game ended.

Rams game can't get here quick enough.

Problem is, this team could have easily been two games ahead of the Giants and the Commanders, and one ahead of the Eagles. We could have set the pace.

It's not the position they're in that's troubling, it just seems like we're in for the same stuff yet again.

There were many positives. I thought the special teams play was pretty good, they just had a hell of a weapon back there as a punter. The defense was also good, just missed a few opportunities for turnovers.

But the offense just does not make any sense.

Overall, this team just looks like a bad team once again.

One thing Dallas never gets the luxury of having...is a team that is looking ahead. The Rams next game is on Thurs against San Fran...but you know Fisher is gonna have his team focused on beating Dallas. This is the super bowl for many teams.

This is probably just my angry inner fan talking, but if the Cowboys lost to the Rams and I were Jerry Jones, I would seriously consider canning Garrett the next day and bringing in Lovie Smith or Jon Gruden or Bill Cowher. It's enough on the job training. It's time to apply what you've learned.

We lose to the Rams at home then I agree! I was for this at the end of last season, but have just gone with the flow this offseason. Leave it to JG to screw that line of thinking up again.

My actual hope is he turns it around, only because I want to win now.

We could go 8-8 for three more seasons and garret will still be hc.

Highly unlikely. We go 8-8 this season and he is gone. The only way he survives that is if that record wins the division. Go one and done, it is still possible he gets the boot.

Yes, you are a smart and good fan. This is your angry inner fan speaking, as you said. We all have those moments. Here's where I stand..I wanted Garrett gone during the year last year....knowing though it would not happen. But after I saw how Garrett demonstrated great leadership through the tragedy last year, I believe he EARNED the another season...as long as he gave up play calling and focused more on the entire team. And thats basically what is happening now....so you gotta give him the year. And, honestly, I think if Dallas somehow goes 7-9, Jerry finds a reason to bring JG back again. The Garrett regime isnt close to being over, IMHO.
