I had no Idea who Andrew Sendejo was so I looked up some highlights and yes I know highlights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUfdlzG0sog&feature=related) are only the good plays but something stood out to me that he does better then the starting db's now. Closing speed to the ball and wrapping up and driving the tackle. I'm curious to see how he does on the field if he ever gets a shot

If you line me up in the secondary vs. a 10 year old Pee Wee league team, and I'll look like an albino Night Train Lane.

Keep the level of competition in mind.

True. but it was more of a compliment on his technique not the competition he's facing

Not this again.......

Besides..........take a look at their schedule. It's not like Rice runs from big time programs and if you do some research he had his best games against legitimate top 25 programs.

Good thing people like you with this mindset do not run NFL programs because the HOF and Pro Bowl Rosters would only be half full.

My comment was in reference to the "he's better than our starters" remark.

Thanks for your input.

We have no idea if he does, your correct but from what I have seen on tape he sure plays different but there is no guarantee it will translate so in that aspect your right but you could not be more wrong by referencing his level of compition in college or comparing them to a 10 year old Pee Wee team. I'm sure Texas would beg to differ (well maybe not this year, lol)

My comparison was hyperbole.

Besides . . . I'm older and out of shape, so I'd have to play 10 year olds for my albino Night Train comparison to be accurate.

:laugh2: Here's hoping that he shows something in practice.

you gotta keep churning the bottom of that roster. You never know when you might find that diamond. The league is full of good players who at some point were undrafted or out of the league.

You don't have to look around the league to even find that. Just look at the Cowboys. Miles, Romo......you ever know. The odds are slim that he's a player but i'll take atleast a solid special teams player.

Romo, Austin, or McCann anyone...........................?

I know McCann has made hellacious plays recently, but he's still in the category of a Kevin Ogletree 'til further notice.

Agreed.. making two big plays and winning a bogus defensive player of the week award does not make him a solid player yet. Its a good start, glad to see him making some plays. At the very least he's a couple steps up for our return game right now.

I thought one of the challenges for this player is that he's slow.

4.48 forty for a safety isn't bad.

On average, he talent level in the UFL is better than in NCAA football. He was coached by Denny Green who has had some success running football programs.

The roster is basically the last twenty guys a team has on the field in a preseason game that end up on UFL rosters. They are even marketing it as a development league.

You can tell more than you would if its Auburn vs Arkansas St.

I would hope the talent level of a bunch of ex college players and close call NFL players is better than a bunch of boys playing the game (college). Even still.. the jump from the UFL to the talent level of the NFL is considerable.

How old is the guy anyway?
