What a bad time to be a moron/troll.

Dallas is #2 in total offense, #2 in scoring offense. Romo's established himself as the best QB in the NFC by a wide margin, Owens has been a consummate professional so far and isn't plagued by drops, Witten's being utilized....

The defense is 7th in total defense, 8th in sacks and leads the league in interceptions. Williams isn't being burnt for touchdowns, Ellis is getting to the QB, Canty and Spears are playing well.....

Folk is converting 87% of his field goals, McBriar is still McBriar, Crayton is 4th in the league in punt return average with better than 12 and a half yards a return, Thompson's beating the league average with almost 24 yards a clip...

Plus Dallas hasn't had a season ending injury so far (knocks on wood).

I guess if people want to complain, Dallas isn't very good in kick and punt coverage when Davis doesn't play.....

6-1 going into the bye week is as good as even the most homeristic fan could have hoped for if they had an ounce of realism floating between the ears.

Good post. (Jason Ferguson is a season ending injury though.)

Have you noticed all the Eagles fans in here bragging? Have you noticed how the Skins fans are here every day laughing at our misfortunes?

Me neither.

Even the "Debbie Downers" are quieter than usual.

Amen... And we're getting healthier.

One of the most positive things about this year is how we've rolled on despite key injuries. Remember 2005 when Flozell got hurt and it was Season Over?

I'll play Devil's advocate.

This team still has flaws against good quarterbacks. And we'll be facing good quarterbacks in the playoffs. Unless the Cowboys defense can prove itself against a good quarterback, I will still be cautious in predicting how we do in the playoffs.

I'm happy with the offense. But I'm still apprehensive of the secondary and pass defense against good quarterbacks.

The next 3 games will tell A LOT about this team.

Following the Mavs seasons over and over again has taught me a lot about not ignoring flaws even if the team is rolling.

This is the key to the second half of our season.. Gettin Tank, TG, and Henry back will be HUGE to the team. Tank and Henry will allow WP to be extremely creative with the D and TG will take alot of pressure off TO as he stretches the field. I'm excited for the second season.... We're not gonna lose many ball games..

Sill Stanley, we didn't beat Buffalo and Minnesota by 25 points each so therefore we suck bag.

To think, some are upset with a 6-1 team when that is more wins than we saw in 2000, 2001 or 2002 and the same amount as 2004.

I go into every game now expecting to win (yes even against the Patriots) not like before where I hoped to keep it close and maybe steal it in the end.

I never have doubt we will score when we need to score.

Defence can be a little scary at times but damn, we do play other NFL teams who are trying to score so imagine that, they try to score and do sometimes.

Even if we only go 1-2 (I expect at worst 2-1)in the next three games, we would be 7-3 at US Thanksgiving with what should be a gimme game against the Jets.

The season is setting up very nicely.

How about people enjoy the ride, we have waited a long time.

I think Stanley grandfathered Ferguson into the old Injured Reserve where he could return after 4 games away. That's probably what happened. He didn't forget. ;)

If trying to be realistic is being a chicken little then I guess Im a chicken little. I still dont think the defense is very good. They rank 21st in the NFL in points allowed per game. They shutdown Grossman, Green, Jackson, Edwards and a banged up Bulger but got lit up by Manning and Brady. To me the jury is still out, especially when it comes to the secondary.

Well yes and no . If the playoffs started today , Dallas would face the likes of B. Favre(old and washed up...still dangerous in the playoffs) , E. Manning(he's torched Dallas for some TDs but does he really scare anybody) , J. Campbell :)rolleyes: ) , V. Testaverde:)eek: ) , and J. Kitna(he's fallen apart) .

While I get your point and agree for the most part , Dallas has a HUGE opportunity in the playoffs this year .

I'll hold out my ultimate judgement on Dallas' pass d once I see the total package on the field together. While Reeves has been decent, Nate Jones has truly been an Achilles' heel. With New, Henry, & Reeves playing their original positions I think Wade will get more aggressive and diverse with his blitz packages and I fully expect us to be a pretty good pass defense the 2nd half of the season.

What i like about this team is that someone new always steps up and makes a play. I think this defense has tons of potential. And I don’t think they have come close to peeking yet. Also, Reeves is turning into an excellent corner. That play he made in the endzone was impressive. I would like to see Watkins play more, that speed he showed on the FG return was amazing. You forget how fast that dude is. I think he is starting to get it. And i love our LBers, i think we have the best in the league. So no chicken little soup for me yet.

I've noticed that Stewart has some packages that have Hamlin, Roy, and Watkins in the game simultaneously. He moves Williams into a LB position and plays Pat and Ken deep. I like Watkins' size and speed and I assume once his football IQ is up to snuff that he may turn into a pretty good safety.

I agree!! They're very active and aggressive and they can run. James has really impressed me this year. He's all over the field, hits hard, and plays with alot of emotion.. Actually, I like our entire front 7...
