But fortunately the NFC is so bad this year that even a team with a garbage defense can go far because everyone has injuries and their own flaws

Nico Collin’s is criminally underrated by fans but the answer here is somewhere in between. Significantly stronger number with Nico, but also we have to acknowledge that Houston played better defenses without him as well

The point was about Houston’s offense. And how it’s much, much better with Nico Collins than without. A point that was intentionally omitted in the original post.

Yes exactly this. They are slowly improving. Lasts year it was hopeless. This year there is hope. Good things happened when Porter came on the field. So will be better when he is full time. Durant is going to help when he comes back. Once Jalen Thompson comes back will be an extra bonus. Going to be interesting to see what they do with Overshown. I pray it is move him back to WLB. I wonder if Bland be better in the slot because he is looking like the weak spot currently in secondary. We got two sacks hopefully they can get more because we desperately need more pressure. They are not good now so I am not disagreeing with OP but still feel this defense will be much diffferent at the end of the year. Hoping at least middle of the pack.
