The defense still sucks

Another game... another 30 points allowed.

Thirty points to a very average Texans offense — the same Texans offense that scored 6 against the Bengals and 17 against the Colts.

Once again, the defense gave up a long, late fourth-quarter drive to surrender the lead, forcing the offense to go back down the field and either retake the lead or win the game. Then, with seconds left and Houston out of timeouts, they still allowed them to get into position for a legitimate Hail Mary attempt that nearly connected.

And on the final play, the DB tried to catch the ball instead of simply knocking it down. Just stupid football.

I’m very, very happy we won, and we have a few more winnable games coming up here. But with a defense playing like this, we can’t count on anything.

How about what many people thought was the best DEF in football (Texans) sucked.

They are giving up 5 less points per game compared to last year. Still got far to go but improving

Look at the NFL.

Every game teams have at least 20 points before the half.

There are no good defensive teams.

The days of 10-3 games is over and the League wants it this way.

More points = more viewers = more money.

I’m sure you’re objective, and you actually know what you’re talking about, as you have a Jerry clown face as your avatar.

Are you unaware that Nico Collins missed the Cincinnati and Indianapolis games?

Only 2 teams in the NFL are allowing more yards per game.

Only 4 teams are allowing more points per game.

13 teams are holding opponents to 21 points or less per game.

People may or may not see it. But this defense is progressing nicely. It’s coming along. I’ll admit I wish it was a bit more rapid. But progress is progress and I’m happy w what I’m seeing lately. By no means is it perfect but it’s progressing

They look a *little* better than last year based solely on the “eye test” but they have got to find a way to get home on the few pressures they get and they still don’t have an INT yet
