The defense was awful

I can’t overstate how bad they played today. One of the worse defensive performances ive seen in a while.

Eberflus has them playing almost strictly zone.

It worked last week but the Giants absolutely feasted against it this week. Bland being out hurts but he has gotta switch up and put some man in there in some situations. He can’t be in cover 3 all game long.

The pass rush is just very inconsistent right now. There are guys who flash, but there are way too many plays where Wilson had a clean pocket and plenty of time to allow the receivers to get down field. Which is a recipe for disaster when our secondary isn’t very good right now.

They need to find a way to generate more consistent pressure on the QB or they will continue to get eviscerated through the air.

They lack talent pretty much everywhere. I don’t think it matters which scheme they run in the long run. I don’t think having Micah out there changes much.

We have the worst safeties in the NFL. Yeah, I know Wilson had an INT at the end but outside of that he was awful. Hooker isn't much better. We are basically playing defense with 9 guys. I don't know how they've done so little to try to get talent there.

The coverage was awful. Rings seems lik he's in a bad scheme. He's a pro bowl corner being forced to play differently. I'd play our corners like the Packers used al Harris and c woodson. Elan KS good and jamming and runs 4.39. Play to his strengths.

Bend but don’t break style of play. Unfortunately even that didn’t work but that’s due to how bad the technique was by the safeties and corners in
deep zone.

Wilson was late to help multiple times and the corners weren’t able to keep the receivers in front of them. Recipe for disaster.

Luckily Wilson made up for it in OT.

I agree. Wilson’s int covers how bad he was today before that.

It’s almost like Wilson expected him
To screw up the coverage again when he threw that last pass. And that’s what allowed Wilson to get the int.

Biggest problem I see is mental errors.


Cowboys can win with this defense but not if they give up big plays from just letting guys run right by them.



Hopefully Revel & Overshown can play by November.
