He came up big, but I didn't like the offense forcing the ball his way. Once we started spreading the ball back around and Dak went to Beasley, Williams and Witten again, we started moving more easily down the field. Dak and Dez's chemistry isn't there yet... when it is, the league is going to have a problem. Still, I like the more balanced offense, but I can respect Dak trying to get his playmaker into the game.

I think Dez is a weapon, but we need to quit forcing the ball to him. I don't want to see Beasleys effectiveness just thrown away based on the need to force feed the ball to Dez.
This is the silly ish I hate.

Dez wasn't forced the ball. Most every pass that he was targeted on he was open or could have made a play on the ball....if not for a terrible Dak throw.

I think he does need to feed Dez his looks, but he ignored Cole and the other WR too much today I thought, and that threw him off his normal rhythm a bit I think. I imagine once Dez works into that rhythm it will be different, but today Dez was great when he needed to be, but also a target of forced throws. Dak being on would also pay in spades, and might make the forces not look like forces.

Dez is a beast.. he looked like vintage Dez tonight. After missing 3 games he had to shake some of the rust off.

Once Dak and Dez get on the same page better this going to be a fun:

Dak was off tonight no matter who he threw the ball to. It happen

Aside from the Week 1 Giants game in which Dak never even looked Dez's way that much [ 1 catch for 8 yds], both games where Dak & Dez have played the entire game, Dez has cleared 100 yards receiving. If Dez hadn't gotten hurt early in the Bears game, he goes over 100 yds in that game too.

Week 1 vs the Giants, 1 catch, 8 yds
Week 2 vs the Commanders, 7 catches for 102 yds,
Week 3 vs the Bears, 3 catches for 40 yds, 1 TD [injured on his very 1st catch]
Week 8 vs the Eagles, 4 catches, 113 yds, 1 TD

This^^^

other than a few 'miscommunications' on the route being run, which could have easily been Dez's fault, the biggest problem was bad throws.

Some more sensitive types might call me a Dez hater. Others just see my commentary as objective.

My comments this week about Dez were prophetic.

My comments were:
-Dez doesn't separate from DBs but he can make catches when well covered
-Because he's usually so well covered Dez is a high risk, high reward receiver.
-I provided hard statistics that Dez only catches about 45% of balls targeted his direction in past two seasons
-Dez isn't high-percentage but he does deliver home-run type catches
-Romo is more of the gunslinger, precision QB to make Dez shine

I don't have the exact numbers but Dez was targeted about 10 or 11 times. He caught 4 balls. 4-10 ain't good, but they were high-reward plays. Exactly what I said we should expect.

Those numbers don't keep the chains moving. But Dez does provide quick strike big plays and can do so in a crowd..

The offense was at it's best when Cole Beasley and Witten were more central in the action. They create daylight and are more reliable targets for a young quarterback.

I was prophetic too when I said this team needs Dez......we don't win yesterday without him

It is easy to say he will make big plays and not make some plays but he is our #1 WR by a mile...... Beasley CANNOT do what Dez does and can only do what he does because guys like Dez draw the coverage

JJones had 29 yds yesterday.....DHopkins 44 yds....Djackson 48 on 1 catch...MEvans 50 yds
