The Commanders had their backs to the wall and they played like a determined team. their defense stepped it up, OLine came out swinging, portis ran hard, brunnel did enough to keep drives going in 3rd and long and their ST played great, especially on punt returns.

Lats week the cowboys played like that, everyone rallied around romo, players making tough cathces and running through tackles like the season depended on a win in carolina. yesterday that focus, drive and intensity were gone.

penalties, ST breakdowns, dropped passes, not sustaining the block a little longer.

There was no doubt in my mind that we would get the skins best effort but Dallas constantly shooting themselves in the foot has to come to an end

Where was Jim Burt? Could he have made a bigger difference than we think? I don't remember seeing him on the sidelines.

BTW, i dont think the skins are going to be pushovers the rest of the year, i think they are better team than cowboys fans want to admit. I would not have been suprised for them to win at home, their defense played pretty good yestarday. They are better than their record shows. Its just that the cowboys had the game in hand and blew it.

I disagree with your point that 'their defense stepped up.' We moved the ball as effectively as I've seen since 1999. Our penalties stepped up (false starts) and dropsies (TO).

Credit ROMO with that, they did make some key plays to stop drives when we were almost in scoring position.

The TO drop was huge. too many penalties but Romo bailed us out of some bad situations.
