So many questionable calls are made against defenses because of the league's desire to protect quarterbacks and increase safety. (I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, just looking at the effect of it.)
I'm rewatching the Tampa game right now just before halftime, and the Bucs moved quickly down the field with the help of two of those questionable calls against Dallas: roughing the quarterback on Gregory (supposedly for lifting and bringing his weight down on Winston) and the hitting a defenseless receiver penalty on Woods (where he blast Humphries in the shoulder). All it takes is a couple of those calls and an offense gets an extra 30 yards.
