The disrespect

Deion Sanders would have told the other CB to get lost while he took Austin all over the field. Plus, Sanders wouldn't have been burnt bad on that one play.

Embrace the hate!

Where have I heard that before?

Personally I'm pulling for this team and Wade to get the job done, I would love nothing more than to see this team and Wade get over the hump and shut the critics up. Not really into seeing the team torn down and rebuilt once again just so some can get the coach who excites them because in the end none of the critics play for the team so I don’t care if Wade excites them or not.

Why?
because I'm proud we have found an above-amazing WR? Sorry! I'll start posting that unless he does it for the next 3 seasons he is overrated and was never good, make you feel better.

not really, He is an elite WR and if you don't see it that doesn't really matter because in time you will come to accept him as the best WR in the NFL, and soon enough in NFL History, yes I say he is better than Rice, yes I say he is better than Irvin (who is better than Rice), yes Miles Austin, from Monmouth is the best WR in NFL History.

People that are posting yes Phillips is a bad coach, c'mon we are 8-3, running away with the NFCE, during his 3-year tenure we have been 13-3, 9-7 and so far 8-3. He is a great coach, winning playoff games is not everything, in time we will win some, and hopefully that will be this season, maybe we win it all.

Yea, I am rooting for Wade and I hope he does well and wins his first playoff game, I just have my doubts. I think when the going gets rough, his teams fold like a cheap lawn chair. I hope he proves us all wrong and wins a playoff game.

Was Switzer a good coach?

None are close to as explosive as Austin.
If you don't want to believe in him, don't but im still in HS and from NY and even Giants fans say they wish they could trade Nicks, Smith and a first round pick for Austin. (a trade which I wouldn't do)

The people on this forum may be the only ones not to see his potential

Nicks, Smith, AND a 1st rounder for Austin?

I'd probably do that.

Ok this shows that you're just plain silly. It's the young kid in you i guess but you're out of your friggen mind man. Austin is doing very well, and no one can or would deny that but the dude hasn't even done nearly enough yet to be the best WR playing football today and he sure as hell isn't anywhere near the same conversation as Jerry Rice.

Do you even have any clue what Rice accomplished in his career? Miles, even if he plays great for the next 10 years, probably won't even get near the numbers Rice put up. To think Miles is in his league is beyond stupid.

I like Austin as much as anyone but if they wanted to give me two darn good, young receivers, in Nicks and Smith AND hand me a first rounder for him as well I'd take that and run away smiling.

NO Giants fan ever has or would ever say such a thing.
I know Giants fans.
They have far too much (ignorant) pride and they are in love with Hicks AND Smith right now. (as they should be because both of those guys are showing awesome potential and playing extremely well)
AND a 1st?
:lmao:

Really man, believe what you want about Austin... more power too ya. But making up silly lies (that don't confirm anything, anyway) to try and support your stance is just sad.

Just wanted to say it sickens me when people call Wade Phillips a bad head coach, we are the 3rd seed in the NFC right now and people are talking about hiring a new HC, get real.

Wade sucks. I WANT a new head coach. Give me Holmgren any day over Mr Stay Puft.

He is, in Fitzgeralds career he has 3 games over 145+ yards, in 7 starts Austin has 3.

In Fitzgeralds career he has 5 20+ yard TDs, in 7 starts Miles has 5.

Miles Austin has 2 yards less this season than Fitzgerald, and a hell of a lot less catches, in 5 less starts.

Andre Johnson is the best WR in the NFL....it's not all about pure stats

The Giants fans he's talking about are probably in high school since he says he is.

This is ridiculous. You were not even old enough to see Irvin or Rice play in their prime and I doubt you have watched that much game tape on either.

Im a huge Austin fan, I was probably the first (I kid you not), THE FIRST, on this board to claim he was going to be great (did so in the Seattle playoff game years ago) but you are flat out wrong, not only is he not near the level of Irvin or Rice (both Hall of Famers) he is not even the best in the league now. Please try to at least think before you post stuff like this.

Edit: After reading the rest of this guys posts he has to be a troll, looks like we all took the bait.
