The DL injuries have ruined the season

I don't like Kiffin or his scheme. But that being said, there isn't a defense on the planet that works with zero pressure.

Spencer, Ratliff, Crawford, bass.
Just too much. You can't win with a bunch if guys picked up off the street.

The entire offseason has to be devoted to fixing the DL

Kiffen trying changeup, but tough against Manning. Early in game, the LB came and they dropped the new DE Raynor? back into coverage/zone blitz......but Manning threw right at it to the RB...........not sure if Kiffen tried it again. Against a lessor qB.......got potential......

I'd say be better off on the other side, bringing Carter and dropping Ware into the coverage

Yep, a lot of us have been crying for defensive line help for several years now. The money they wrapped up in Spencer and Ware could of been used to get a veteran pass rusher.

To be fair, Peyton was getting rid of the ball in 1.5 seconds. A good DL will get to the QB the majority of times if you give them 3 seconds. If the DBs and LBs can't cover the WRs and TEs for 1.5 seconds, it doesn't matter how good your DL is.

They say hindsight is 20/20, but people around here have been calling for DL help for YEARS. And now we see why.

They flat out ignored the DL and told us it was a strength. But we were relying on a new defense that requires more linemen, an injury prone 30 year old DT, and two LB being converted to DE. Sure, no one could predict the injuries to Crawford and Spencer. But a)Ware having trouble b)Ratliff being hurt and c)lack of depth were all very predictable outcomes of our poor planning.

Paper thin depth DL to begin with. If you want to run the 4-3 you need a stacked DL. Garrett/Jones thought it was best to transition over. Turning out to be the worst defense in Cowboy history. I just hope all the 3-4 haters are getting what they deserve. Enjoy your 4-3.

Revisit the names on the back of the jerseys of our DL. Look at all the snaps Drake Nevis got and he was signed off the street last week.

This years injuries doesn't even come close compare to last year.

Injuries "derailed" last season as well. At some point, we have to accept they're a given in most season and prepare accordingly.
