The Dolphins are making me cry!

I live here in Miami, and when the Cowboys are not playing I'll watch the Dolphins games on ocassion. The Dolphins offensive line are making Ryan Tanenhill look like a young Dan Marino. Yesterday against the Bengals he had no interceptions and with receivers that are not that good he has been able to play good even in the games that they have lost. Imagine if we had an offensive line that can give Romo time to look at different receivers instead of running for his life. This morning on the Joe Rose show they were praising Jeff Ireland for his recent drafts. He got criticized for passing on Dez Bryant, but maybe it was not such a bad call just the way he did it. The Bengals had a chance to get back in the game late in the fourth quarter when our beloved Terrence Newman got called for interference and ended any chance of the Bengals to come back in the game. Don't get me wrong, I've been a Cowboys fan for 35 years and will not jump off this great team that I love to death. But when I see a young team with less talent then ours play this well almost every week, it makes me mad that our owner does not spend more money on our offensive line which I think is our main problem with this team we love so much.

PS. Jake Long will be a free agent after this year.

I bet Long gets resigned. Arguably the best LT in the league between him and Thomas. It's a shame both play for terrible teams.

And jake long would cost way too much for us. I'm all for finding a great vet LT and moving Smith back to RT but we cant afford Long or Clady, both are free agents.

The Dolphins are playing tough that's for sure. They should be 4-1 right now, let two wins against NYJ and AZ get away with some really bad playcalling down the stretch, and boneheaded mistakes from Tannehill which can be expected.

The difference you can see is just that they have an identity, whereas we seem to want to change what we look like every week. They want to stop the run and they want to establish dominance up front on offense. They have phenomenal talent on both lines. Wake is playing possessed, Randy Starks is maybe the best interior lineman in football right now. And Philbin's got them playing hard somehow.

Superpunk? THE Superpunk?

Also look how they have drafted the OL. Jake Long top 5 pick, pounced picked mid 1st, Martin was a 2nd round pick, and Jerry was early round 3. That's how you build an OL

Ol lines aren't that important what you need is Playmakers!

I feel your pain. Romo's performance makes me cry every week. Well, except this past week for reasons that shall not be stated.

Anyway, more crying news. I watched Peyton bring his team back from a 31-7 deficit last night, and yep, I cried even more. That guy was running for his life behind a porous offensive line, yet he masterfully executed until Willie M got the yips.

So then I went back and watched the part of the Chicago game where it was 34-10 and Romo was sitting on the bench. So then I called somebody up.

"Hello? Is this Noah? . . . Yeah, well I'd like to put my order in for a more downsized version of your ark. Can you build me one too? . . . Great! . . . When, you say? . . . Ah, soon. The next few weeks are gonna be a tough mudder!"

On man, Sunday cannot come soon enough..

It's just going to be another down week for Cowboys fans. This team is going to lose in Baltimore. Whether they get trashed or lose a heartbreaker is up in the air, but it'll be a loss.

Shiny objects sell tickets and merchandise.;)

Yeah, maybe you should become a dolphin fan.

The Cowboys can never compete with those guys.

I don't get that from his comment at all. He's only admiring another team's oline and how well they are playing and helping a team (that is supposedly less talented than we are) compete in games. Nothing wrong with that.

But, but it's a process...

Tell that to the 49ers and their 600 yards of offense yesterday.

You want a team to be jealous of, there you go. We could have hired Harbaugh instead of handing it to Garrett after his internship (still ongoing apparently).

Oh wait, no we couldn't.

Asked why the Eagles have had so much success from 1999-2008 and the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game during that period, Harbaugh had this to say:
"Why is that? Because what Andy Reid and his program stand for is the opposite of what the Cowboys stand for. The Cowboys are a star system. It's all about building around individuals first and collecting talent, collecting great players. Andy has always been about building a team. And over the long haul, it's a team sport, and one of the greatest examples of that is what's happened with the Eagles and the Cowboys over the last 10 years. The Cowboys stand for everything that's wrong with the NFL."
