I always love these. Jason Garrett is so professional on the phone. These kids are so poised and sharp in these interviews. I already am impressed.

*******

Tyron Smith

I also highly recommend his Press Conference. If you further want to be excited, go to NFL.com and in the Draft Tracker section click on his video. Look at the shoulders on this monster.

Folks, that is how you open a hole for a RB.

I love his confidence. If he does indeed make the Hall of Fame our Draft is an A on that alone. Him saying he made Cam Jordan quit is classic.

One last thing, this kid working and playing football is an impressive story. I commend Jerry for making him tell that. It is significant.

*******

Bruce Carter I love when the family is excited in the background.

Here's his Press Conference as well. Look at the arms on this kid.

*******

DeMarco Murray Another escited family.

And his Press Conference.

*******

David Arkin He loves hitting people!

*******

Joshua Thomas

*******

Dwayne Harris His family loses it! So great.

*******

Shaun Chapas

*******

Bill Nagy

Thomas's "secret" conversation when he was told he was drafted by the Cowboys was great.

It was almost that he didn't believe it. Then you could hear in the background that his name went across the TV screen and everyone in the room lost it.

Great story in that when he was around 8 his father bought him a Cowboys jersey and his father said that one day you will play for the the Dallas Cowboys.

How true that turned out!

does anybody know where i can find transcripts of the press conferences? the sound on my computer is not working.

The reason why he probably didn't believe it was because they posted the wrong "Thomas" on NFLN. Remember they corrected it like 2 minutes later. Too bad for the other "Thomas" but he did get drafted eventually.

However, he did sound like he didn't know who Jerry Jones was at first. The family went crazy when they corrected it to the right Thomas.

:laugh2:

I would have paid to be a fly on the wall.

I thought he mentioned they were all watching the draft at his grandmother's house as well. Must have been a huge family event.

I approve this thread. Well done Hos, loved it.

You're right Hos. Those are defensive lineman guns.

I'm assuming he didn't work out at the combine with the torn acl. I wonder how he'd have done in the bench press.

This is a great, great thread, Hostile...!

Everyone all in one package. ;)

I know we should all not be shills or happy fans, but everyone of these players sound like they all have their heads right where they should be.
:starspin

It was difficult at first seeing the spawn of Buddy become the DC of the boys, but he sounds like a great guy, especially when talking to Thomas about making him "better than you think you are" so he can "kick butt" like the other Buffalo player he had. Good stuff.

We're getting a lot of those stories with our draft picks these days.

Anyone else ready for training camp now?

Everyone except the Trade Association and the NFL....

Was that a trick question?
;)

On Tyron's NFL Video, what in the hell is Marshall Faulk talking about when he said "We know Free had some trouble on the left side." Does this guy even watch a Cowboy game or does he just have to lob an insult at them every chance he gets?

I noticed that as well.

I really dislike him as a commentator.

To add insult to injury, the other commentators jumped in on it and stated that Free should only be signed to a 1 year deal so that Tyron can warm up on the right side this year, and move to the left side after that. As if Free has now achieved Marion Barber status or something.
