Are Ward, Woods, price and jones good enough to hold down the fort until Collins and Irving return?

I think we will be fine simply because this forum overhypes how good Collins and Irving are.

Early returns seem to show that Price and Ward can handle 1-tech run-stopping assignments, but the jury is definitely still out on any of them being able to provide a pass rush. Ward has gotten some praise, but I haven't really seen him show much in the pass rush drills/opportunities.

IMO, nope. They will use the DE's, Crawford and Jones will rotate at the 3.

With our DT depth, I'm sure we're getting phone calls from multiple teams to make s trade

I'm not trading any of them for less than a rd 1 pick

Lol. He damn near got a sack a game in a bad domestic situation with mental issues. Why should we expect him to do worse after getting those rectified?

If I'm forced to answer today? I'd still have to say "No".

But I will also say that I've been encouraged by the training camp reports I've heard about guys like Price and Woods and they've made me a bit more cautiously optimistic than I was before.

But I'll firmly sit in the "Show Me" section until I see those reports translate into actual production in the preseason games against other teams.

i can tell you if they dont dominate vs backups in preseason im looking elsewhere
if they disappear then im very concerned
i would look to upgrade anyway, but if they arent standing out vs backups then good linemen will gash the defense and that will cost games

Do things look "rectified" to you?

Woods was impressive during blue/white scrimmage. Life without Irving looms as a distinct possibility.

I'm reminded of a former 'no name' defense for Miami...but the Cowboys have some names that are growing.
