So everyone is talking about Jerry, Jason and Dak but should we be talking more about McClay and Stephen (who could lean either way) to find the real problem? Now I am not stating that these 2 are the problem, it's pretty apparent that these 2 have a very good influence on this team. The problem lies in the battles between them all and the meddling still going on. Jerry wins some and he loses some with these guys.
1. Jerry lost out on Manziel. Thank God.
2. Jerry wins and gets Gregory. You could see the disappointment on JGs face during that pick.
3. Jerry wins and gets Jaylon. I am sure they wanted Jaylon all along but not at that second round pick.
4. Jerry lost out on Dez. Everyone here knows that Jerry wanted to and would've kept Dez. I think it was a team of JG,Stephen and Dak that wanted Dez gone but that was also before Witten left. If they knew Witten was leaving I don't think they cut Dez.
5. Jerry wins with the Cooper trade. Obviously with all these moves Jerry wins on there is backing from Stephen and McClay and I think Stephen backed this one more than McClay.

So I guess what I am saying is that while Stephen and McClay try and right this ship they are still having to deal with the number one problem which is the meddling owner. Did you guys see the Amazon special when the coaches were holding a meeting and they had to call Jerry and Stephen on a conference call so they could listen in and talk about the previous game and game planing? You think thats how 32 other teams are ran in the NFL?

It is by far the most dysfunctional front office in all of sports. How will this team ever win with the most dysfunctional front office? It won't until it is changed.

The only time we’ve won with this dysfunctional situation is with the greatest Cowboy team ever assembled and Jerry almost screwed that up.

Most would argue he did screw that up and cost us at least one championship.

Greater talent is our only hope with Jerry as we witnessed Romo prop this franchise up. Even the resurrection Bill conducted here wasn’t able to overcome the dysfunction.

Expecting an average coach and QB to overcome the dysfunction is laughable. I’d recommend going for the solutions which are more obtainable within Jerry’s parameters.

I don't even think greater talent at this point helps. The 2007 and 2014 teams had as much talent as any other team in the league. The 95' team was lead by HOF players not the coaches. They also had a core nucleus of guys who had won super bowls and knew what to do. What we have now is akin to the blind leading the blind.

Who won the battle to draft a RB 4th overall? Fire that idiot.

Precisely and we are trying to use a blueprint from that 90's team to create an offense except we don't have pro-bowlers at every spot.

Yah I didnt know that about the conference call. Tells it all right there. These guys run the franchise just like its a typical company. Run all big decisions by the big guy first. Its about not empowering the people that work for you. Its a control issue. Causes major dysfunction. You turn great employees into puppets. Instead of people working on instincts and solving problems, they just try to think like Jerry would think. And you wind up hiring and liking people that just do what you want. And you shy away from hiring the best in the business because you know they will come in and take over or give you push back on all your stupid ideas. They will actually have a mind of their own.

Deep inside we all know this franchise is screwed. Cmon, we had Romo for 10 years here and could only win 2 playoff games? We are never going anywhere.

SJ needs to move on from GM, maybe take on the president role, Jerry needs to retire from football operations and just be the owner/fan.

Hire a real GM, an outside influence
Hire a new HC
Hire a new OC

The problem is that not many A-List coaches will come here under the current org
