This is another year, another day and a different team. The past has no bearing on what this day will bring. We are a much better team, both offensively and defensively than we have been in our recent past. Whether we're more capable than the Eagles or not is yet to be determined. We'll be every bit as good or as bad as we play. The same can be said for Philly. Whichever team plays the best on this day will win. After all, that's how it should be.

Hi Idgit

Cowboys are better than Eagles this year. Maybe not much but still Cowboys are the better team. Eagles' 8-3 record is due to some close games going their way. They should have been 6-5 or 7-4 at most.

Also I have watched Sanchez plenty of times in New York to be able to predict how he will play against Dallas on the road. I expect at least 2 turnovers by Sanchez if not 3. I might be wrong but I don't think I am.

Cowboys are favorites. I stopped betting a while ago but if I was a betting man, I would bet all my money on Cowboys covering the spread. I am no football expert but this is my honest opinion.

Agreed, and good post. Appreciate the insight.

Like they say, you are what your record says you are, but I just can't help but think that the way the Eagles have won some of their games just isn't sustainable. That well of "flukey" touchdowns is going to dry up at some point. You can only get so many blocked punts, punt returns, random non-offensive TD's in a season. To me, they seem to be a team that does a good job beating up the not so good teams, but struggle with teams that have substance. And I think the Cowboys have some substance this year.

Another bold prediction. But please don't kill me for saying it. Like I said just a bold prediction.

Dallas looks like a team that can make a deep run in the playoffs. Good OL, excellent running game, decent QB and receivers. If Cowwboys step up their defense, they are my Superbowl candidate from NFC.
