The Eagles aren't expected to retain CB Rod Hood.

He could get a nice signing bonus in an always-thin market at cornerback. Hood was great in 2005, but his play fell off in 2006. At worst, he's a solid nickel back who will probably compete to start.

Jeremiah Trotter isn't expected to play as many snaps in 2007, and could be at risk of being released.

It would be surprising to see Trotter get cut, although his salary jumps almost $1 million to $2.6 million next season. His knees don't allow him to "play too many plays" anymore, according to defensive coordinator Jim Johnson.

I wonder how Trotter would look in a 3/4. He certainly has the size. And I'm sick of him always eating us up.

He's like Bradie James but he can stop the run.

Very 1 dimensional... can stop the run but awful against the pass.

Trotter isn't going anywhere, Hood won't sign unless he's starting, He'd be ok though.

I agree on Trotter. Terrible in coverage. The move McCallister put on him to ice the playoff game made him look old and washed up-not interested. Hood is an avg. nickel back playing in a VERY good scheme-also not interested.
