First, got to beat the Bucs and that takes a home team out of it.

Next, the Giants beat the Vikings and the Seahawks beat the Niners. Two more home teams out of it.

Now, the seeding is the Eagles, Cowboys, Giants and Seahawks.

Seahawks beat the Eagles and the Cowboys beat the Giants at home and the NFCCG is a home game for the Cowboys.

Wishful thinking? Of course, but the NFC is about as close to anybody’s game as I can recall.

The toughest path is to end up in the 3rd spot and have to go to SF in the divisional round, the Cowboys stack up against the Eagles better than the Niners, imo. So, if the Seahawks can’t upset the Niners, best for us to pull for the Vikings to win.

Yeah, I know. The fly in the ointment is that opening line in the thread. Getting a little ahead of myself, aren’t I? Probably, better to do that now than wait until Tuesday?

I think the Giants can take the Vikings, but I don't see Seattle beating SF. I don't think their last game was as close as the final indicated.

It should have been 28-3 in the 3rd quarter, but a horribly bad roughing the passer negated a pick-6.

And that was in Seattle.

Our clearest most likely path is finally beating Brady, beating Philly again, and than full of confidence heading to SF.

I could see the Gents beating Minny though. It took at 61 yard FG for Minny to win last time….

But I like your path better! Lol

Seahawks beat the Niners. Nope!!!!!
While I agree with you, It would not shock me to see the Seahawks win this game. Rookie playing in first playoff game, can he match the raised intensity? But more than anything, they have won 10 in a row, that is very very hard to do and to maintain, they are due for a bad game. But all things equal, the 49ers are a far superior team but any given Sunday.

..earlier this year, I watched Sea/SF game, most of it. Sea hung in there most of the game, until late 3rd qtr.

Sea were not getting the big plays and 3 n outs. SF continued running the ball. Eventually pulled away and won.

Anything is possible. Carrol has to bring his A game for sure.

It is really not close. The 49'rs, Eagles and Cowboys have been DOMINANT all year and everyone else are also rans. Minnesota actually has a negative point differential!

The other teams in the playoffs are negative 48 in point differential.

That is best case scenario but very unlikely. SF is as close to a lock to win the first playoff game in the 1st round in NFC. We are driving to casino for a few days on Saturday and that will be my first bet.

NY has more of an opportunity against Minn.

And Dall at Tampa a slim shot . But we are favored .

But I look for Minn and SF to win. Minn will go to SF. And the winner of TB/ Dal goes to Phil.

I’m picking SF to win conference . But will be tougher in Phil. A Boys upset will bolster their chances .
