We would basically get at least 1, maybe 2 home games if we can get by the Bucs.

That early game, the niners didn’t have stud McCaffrey……..he changes the whole dynamic
Purdy is Purdy good too. He’s becoming quite a story . Purdy Purdy good . Lol

Yea, no doubt the most dominant teams in NFC this year . I like SF. It will be tougher for them going to Phil but Dall or TB could upset them. SF has won like 9 or 10 in a row. Playing the best ball over all in NFC. Can’t pick against them right now .

lets enjoy this dream guys lol while it lasts. I will say this, MM IS a SB winning HC. He did overcome a hellacious start to our year with Dak being hurt, then the Brutal schedule, THEN as of late, all the injuries. Winning 12 games under THIS circumstance is special. Do we understand just how good this was? A Garrett team would have folded in week 4. I credit MM much more than DQ actually. DQ has never won anything as HC. That said, I think MM will walk away after this season. I truly do. I think we will either promote from within a new HC or hire Kingsbury. Jerry was and is enamored with him. Keep an eye on that.

I could see us going to SF in champ game . Don’t like our chances there. Not a good matchup for us . But that would be a very successful season losing in SF.

I see the Giants winning. Minny is a flighty team. Finesse. Giants are maulers. I see Seattle getting beat easily next week. Niners are LOADED. I think we are the Joker Card in this deck. We may be the weakest team. I hate to say that. Even if we manage to beat the Bucs, we have a very tall task.Think about the meltdown by the fans, media if the Giants win a playoff game before we do. Jerry MIGHT actually fire MM. I choose to dream a dream until Monday.

First, got to beat the Bucs and that takes a home team out of it.

Next, the Giants beat the Vikings and the Seahawks beat the Niners. Two more home teams out of it.

Now, the seeding is the Eagles, Cowboys, Giants and Seahawks.

Seahawks beat the Eagles and the Cowboys beat the Giants at home and the NFCCG is a home game for the Cowboys.

Wishful thinking? Of course, but the NFC is about as close to anybody’s game as I can recall.

The toughest path is to end up in the 3rd spot and have to go to SF in the divisional round, the Cowboys stack up against the Eagles better than the Niners, imo. So, if the Seahawks can’t upset the Niners, best for us to pull for the Vikings to win.

Yeah, I know. The fly in the ointment is that opening line in the thread. Getting a little ahead of myself, aren’t I? Probably, better to do that now than wait until Tuesday?
We need either the Seahawks and Giants win or the 49ers and Vikings win. We don't want the 49ers and Giants to win. It would be best to get either the Giants or the Eagles in the 2nd game and not the 49ers.

The 49ers are the hottest team right now. They are getting their players back. They look really ought to beat. They are well coached and they do not beat themselves. That defense plays hard all day long.

I can see the Giants beating the Vikings. If there is an upset this week that's probably the one game I would pick.

Yes. Anyone can outline the path if every underdog wins. We all know this already.

If the Giants win you better hope that the Seahawks win or we will be traveling to San Francisco and they have the advantage of playing on Saturday.

The easiest and only way for the Boys to get to the SB is to BUY a ticket! Not happening with the over hyped, overpaid less than mediocre Prescot at QB!

I 100% agree we match up better with egirls than niners. And as you said, this year the NFC is full of good but not great teams. ALL of them have holes. Here’s how I currently rank the NFC teams and the problems they have:
  • SF- best defense in the playoffs but rookie QB Brock Purdy is going to hit a wall at some point. That’s their kyrptonite at this point.
  • Filly- With Hurts they are at their best offensively but their defense has taken steps backward. Good but not as good as they were in October. Very beatable.
  • Dallas- if our defense returns to form we are the second best team in NFC IMO. But unfortunately we probably won’t be able to return to those days. The TOs have become a plague. If that doesn’t get fixed- one and done.
  • Minn- won a ton of close games this year but they are not particularly dominant on either side of the ball. If they get behind, Cousins will be a liability. And he’s 10-44 all time against teams with winning records.
  • Tampa Bay- they have the GOAT for sure but he’s about 50% of what he used to be which is still good. But their D is average and their OL is below avg. If we can’t beat them we are worse than any of us thought.
  • NYG- they aren’t very talented but they do have something I wish the Cowboys had more of- toughness. They have 6-11 talent yet somehow managed to win 9 games. They aren’t good but I won’t be surprised if they beat Minn.
  • Sea- average at QB, average on D and they just lost their best run stopping LB in Brooks. Ill be shocked if they don‘t get trucked by SF.
Again, the NFC is wide open. If I had to predict who makes the SB I would say the niners. Hope I’m wrong.

Wow, I would hate to be a fan of a team with an attitude like this. The Cowboys have a good chance of winning this week and this is how you feel. It must be horrible to feel that way.

Seahawks beat the Niners. Nope!!!!!
It's really hard to beat an NFL team 2 times in a season, let alone 3.

I believe that Seattle, all though they may not actually win, will give SF all that they can handle. Pete will have his guys ready and fired up.

In my opinion, If the Cowboys play up to their abilities on all 3 facets of the game, than they will be in the Super Bowl. Excluding any injuries, I think we are the most talented. I am not trying to be a homer either. The one thing that could hurt us is coaching during critical game situations. The most consistent team going into the playoffs in the NFC is the Niners but I am wondering how Purdy will do when the lights get bigger. The playoffs are whole different game than reg season.
