Was just absolutely unacceptable. We have 3rd and 1 and we line up in shotgun? Ridiculous. Run the ball. Keep the ball away from them for the rest of the half and at minimum, go in up 7. Hopefully up 10. Best case up 14.

To have that happen and half ended was the biggest kick in the gut that could happen. You knew momentum was drastically back on their side.

The Cobb "catch" was icing on the cake too. I thought it was obvious it hit the ground.

This is where I think the game was really lost.

Could we have called a quick play to take advantage of the only good spot that we had today?

Yup...that moment right there showed a little lack of coaching in what had been a solid season of coaching moves all year. I wish sometimes we were aggressive and more aware of the situation and rushed to the line to run a quick play.

Agreed. We had this game by the neck and we failed to put GB in a strangle. They were ripe for the taking and this team was rolling. That was a pathetic display of coaching to take this unit out of a run formation and run shotgun.

You would think given the point of the ball hit the ground not once...but twice.

But, TJ Lang ramming himself into a defender seconds after the whistle was blown was our 'makeup call.'

Good grief.

Sadly.......we have been doing that all year. How many time did we have 3rd and 2 only to throw the ball? I'd bet @ least a half a dozen times if not more. It certainly was something that this team never learned to correct throughout the season.

I honestly cant believe that. I thought I saw the ball ping pong on the ground too.

Nope. The Garrett defenders are saying he HAD to call the timeout there. I knew it was mistake as soon as he called that timeout. A generous spot for 1st down and you call a timeout giving time for a review? Poor game awareness IMO.

I would say the bogus Cobb reception and 'free' timeout they got was more of a factor

I can't blame Garrett for calling a timeout in that situation. The offense would have had to rush to the line in hurry up mode, something we never do and hope that the officials still wouldn't buzz in.

one thing we need to work on next year is getting to the line faster in hurry up situations, we say it every year but it never materialises

The end of the 1st half was so painful...

The Packers actually looked despondent up to that point. Cowboys about to go ahead 17-7. Rodgers looking very ordinary. Cowboys moving the ball up and down the field.

Bailey hitting that FG very well could have broken the Packers back.

I am glad someone else noticed the ball hit the ground TWICE!!!

After the bad 3rd and 1 a lot still went wrong. Bailey misses twice. Horrible ref call and horrible defense allowing a 31 yard sideline play. Why is the offense blamed for their screw up but not the defense?

Despite all that we took back momentum with a 21-13 third quarter lead and GB pinned back.

It just didn't happen for us. We need to be a little better next year to avoid tough playoff seeding and needing to score almost every time we have the ball.

Not running the ball on 3rd and 1 cost us the game IMO. I have no idea what the thinking was that went into the decision made. NONE. Damn I am going to be pissed about that call all off season.

That was horrid play call. Like the first game of season play calling again.
