is why this team kept Maher over Bailey. Maher's length was part of the reason they made that decision. You don't make that decision simply on length, but you do if all else is equal. Bailey simply doesn't have the leg to make a 62 yarder. We may not have won without that kick (or course, he did miss one that hurt so I guess it's a net wash).

He did before the injury but it’s kind of a moot point now...

And that FG was huge.
I know he missed the one earlier. But props to Dak for running that offense to get them in position.

If he misses, then how do they get another score or else we lose by 3 in regulation.

I know the dynamics change if we were down and play calling may change. But it was huge regardless.

But at this stage of Bailey's career, he's missing some of those, too. As much as I loved Bailey while he was here, the FO made the correct decision with Maher, IMO. He's cheaper than Bailey, too!

I know there’s a “that’s what she said” joke in there somewhere

They kept him over bailey for two reason
One, Bailey is not the same player anymore
Two, money
The big leg was just a bonus

He needs to stop pushing shorter kicks to the right.

Bailey looks to be done as a kicker. Maher will be competing for his job next summer.
