I can't remember another time when that happened. Has that ever happened before? It hurts because it was the perfect chance to one-up our division rivals, every single one of them, and we were in a close game we should have won.

I guess people who call our division NFC Least was right for this week. :)

It happened just last year, week 9. And week 13 the year before.

No kidding? We're in a division capable of really stinking up the place then. Maybe 8 and 8 will be enough to take the division.

Won't matter though.

This offensive system can't win consistently on the road in the playoffs.

At some point we might have to out coach a team and not be so predictable and let it bite us at the end of the season like it does every single year.

But does it really matter? We are so far off pace with teams like Seattle, 49ers and the Packers. We may win the division before we get completely embarrassed by a real team.

I am really worried about the next 2 games. The rams have a great defense with a great pass rush and good secondary and the chargers are playing very well on offense .This offense seems to be broken for a variety of reasons and i dont see a quick fix on the horizon.

I was pissed at loss then I was like ok everybody else lost and giants will loose too Broncos and it happened so i felt a little better after, I knew going into KC was going too be tough thought we would do what we did last year and comeback and win but it didn't work out that way.

Next 2? I dont want to elevate your blood pressure, but after SD we have Peyton Manning. We need to figure out our redzone issues ASAP.

Well, at least then the commentariat would have to come up with a different terrible stat rather than one playoff appearance since 1999.

There is no way this is close to true. Look at the past 5-6 Super Bowl champions. Most of them played on the 1st weekend of the playoffs and went all the way. Saying we don't stack with those teams in mid-September is ridiculous. There is so much football to be played to be putting those teams on a pedestal. They all are very beatable teams. People say this stuff all the time throughout the regular season. Did you really think the Packers in 2011 would lose to a 9-7 Giants team at home or the Ravens would be the Broncos last year. In today's NFL you can beat any team anywhere at any time.

Yeah, the NFC East race might be a contest of who gets to get trashed in the playoffs.

So in a week where the entire NFC East wins, does that mean it is one of the most dominant in football? At this point it is merely coincidence. Besides, teams often get much better or much worse as the season rolls forward.

I commend you for your post. When I saw the title, I was sure you were going to say something along the lines of..."the entire NFC East lost, so whats the big deal?" And that line of thinking is a losing mentality.

Good job by you!

In week 1 the entire AFC North lost - Pgh, Cin, Balt, and Clev. This week, the AFC North will get two victories because Pgh plays Cin and Balt plays Clev.

After two weeks I can say our team has the best defense in the division. I say that without looking into stat sheets. Defense will be the deciding factor on who takes the division.

This week it is

Kansas City at Philly
Detroit at Washington
NYG at Carolina
St Louis at Dallas

No sure losses there, but no sure wins either.

Possible 4 wins right there. I kind of expect it actually, no separation within the division again. It will probably be like this until the last game where division wins will deem the winner. I wouldn't be surprise to have three teams with identical records at the end. Good thing we are 1-0 in the East :)

The return of Kool Aid man to the dump that is Philly! He knows us really well, but he knows them a lot better. My guess is they won't be able to keep up with Philly.

Im not basing that on these first two weeks alone. Those other teams I mentioned are light years ahead of us going back to last season as well.

This Cowboys team just doesn't click and it seems to be a number of things not just one glaring deficiency.
