I'm just going to use the CBS Rankings, with my own personal opinion of who's there. I'd really like to trade down a couple spots and still get Kendricks, but I'm not sure that's realistic so I just stay put.

1 (27) Eric Kendricks LB. Guy makes plays. Even if Ro comes back, we play a lot of nickel where Kendricks can immediately contribute. We were interested in Shazier last year. Kendricks/Lee would be a pretty deadly nickel duo, and Kendricks would also provide depth at Will if Lee gets the injury bug again. We like to take guys in the first that can be legitimate building blocks for the future, franchise players. Once again, we continue that tradition.

2. (60) Jay Ajayi RB. Barring us signing AD (which I think is still on the table), the influx of RB invitees looks like that's going to be a legitimate target for us in Round 2. There's a few guys I wouldn't mind here.

3. (91) Za'Darius Smith DE - With Mincey and Hardy pending free agents in 2016, the unlikeliness of a first year DE contributing much (in 2016), and the importance of pressure, it'd be pretty diligent to take a developmental prospect in the top 3. We miss out on the elite talents, and I don't think they want to take a guy in the first with injuries (OO, UCLA guy). Smith has been described as "violent" with a nonstop motor, and he loves football. He obviously needs development, but he sounds like the "RKG". I see a development curve similar to Crawford's. I doubt he lasts till the 4th.

4. (127) Senquez Golson DB - Obviously, a CB taken this late will have flaws. It'd be nice to have a 6'1 corner that can do everything, but sometimes you just need to bring a guy in that can play. With a decision pending on Carr, and Claiborne not looking to be a longterm Cowboy, we're looking really thin at CB, especially in 2016. Marinelli is not opposed to shorter DB's that can play the Cover 2 scheme. He made Tim Jennings at 5'8 a Pro Bowler in Chicago, and Antoine Winfield was also a beast in Leslie Frazier's Cover 2 in Minny. He won't be All-Pro, but he'll outplay his draft position if he lasts this long. Plus the guy had a ton of turnovers.

Alternate - Henry Anderson DE/DT - Strong, "unblockable" in All-Star practice. Non-stop motor, mean. Could backup the 3, slide to the 1, or even slide out to DE. Versatile "RKG"

After that it's a crapshoot. I imagine we'll take a OT, WR, DT, or SS that can develop/play ST. Not too sure on the later round guys. Although, keep an eye on CB Tray Walker. Guy is 6'3 and can run, was brought in for a visit. You might be able to get him in the 6-7 and get him on the Practice Squad. Interesting prospect, though I suspect someone will over draft him purely on measurables.

I also think we could go DB as early as Round 1 if he's BPA.

I want to like Kendricks but at 6' 230 I have my doubts. I would be too afraid we'd have another Sean Lee situation on our hands with a guy who is very good but can't stay on the field enough. Wouldn't shock me if he really was the pick, but definitely wouldn't be my 1st choice .

Ajayi is a good pick

Smith has the makings of a solid SDE in a couple of years...no complaints

I know you pointed it out but 5'9 is just too short for me, even in the 4th...I personally like some other CB's that I think would still be available in the 4th.

The problem with bigger ILBs is that they can't cover and you don't take a 2 down ILB in the first rd.
