Now I know 99% of tv shows are rating ****** but does not take the cake? I mean this guy Mendez being a HC of a high school team is really cool and a huge accomplishment but the network just goes out of it's way to find the biggest attractions and does it without any class, thinking of the whole transgender thing with Bruce/Katlyn Jenner. I just can't believe how obvious it is that next years recipient will be more physically/mentally messed up than the last. It'll probably get to the point that they'll honor OJ Simpson with one of these awards when he's on his last leg.

I'm pretty sure they did a story on coach Mendez last year. ESPN has done a lot of TMZ like stories but this one didn't come out of nowhere.

Don't think I've ever watched it minus the Stuart Scott speech and the eulogy for him.
