The FA WR List

I am not that worried about WR. Once cuts happen, I think there will be easily half a dozen very servicable vets available. Like many, I am more worried about C. Granted, the position is in the looking glass right now so it seems possibly worse than it really is, but I would certainly feel more comfortable if someone steps up or we trade for someone. Maybe we can trade Felix for a decent Center. Are there any teams with 2 very solid centers that could use a RB?

I agree. I think the Cowboys are interested in getting these young guys the work and should they need to look for a WR they will do so later in pre season as teams make cuts.

Is Housh totally done?

I had read that he is not a good locker room presence. Plus he doesn't have long speed and is a possession type receiver and oh yeah, his goose is cooked

Bad in the locker room, really? Did ochoclowno just take attention away from this?. He doesn't have speed, but he would be decent enough at extending the play. Worth a run out at least.

What about Limas Sweed ? I know he didn't live up to expectations with the Steelers, but he might be a nice little pickup as a 3rd receiver.

All Sweed has ever done in this league is suck terribly and be injured. I would not take him over any guy currently competing for our 3rd WR spot.

I'll just say this.....the grass always seems greener. :D

When Seattle payed him a lot of money in 2009 a alot of Texans fans where mad because they wanted their team to sign him. They asked John McClain on the radio about that he said when he started pinging the scouts and GM's around the league they said Seattle over payed for TJ and they would regret that contract. The opinion amongst the majority of the NFL about TJ was he was a very good wr that got open a lot due to Chad Johnson and that he had an overinflated ego of himself.

I just think he is washed up he did put up 79 catches in Seattle the one year but they cut him the next year an ate what was left of the 15 million guaranteed.

The last two years he has been terrible or injured

No clue what is the real answer is

But what has Golden Tate shown in the NFL so far to make you think he could step in and be our #3?
It's probaably a better suggestion than the earlier Limas Sweed one, but it still seems like it's a grass is greener (based on pre-NFL game tape) approach.

A team desperate for any good WR play be it number 1-5 who has signed every has been wr this offseason and we should be excited about the guy they just cut um no thank you ar thinking that solves the issue

Now if we pick up a wr from a team like the Patriots, Greenbay, Giants or someone like that yes I be a little bit more excited.

Tate has done what to be consider a good quality vet 3rd wr

Mike Wallace is signed though

Whatever happened to Matt Jones?

Didn't he have some major drug issues?? I haven't seen him in the league in a few years. Talk about a waste of potential. He was freak of nature.

When did Mike Wallace sign? I thought he was still a restricted FA.

Oh, i thought he was still under contract, hence the fact nobody could get him, or they wouldn't trade him.

So being a Restricted FA, does he still get paid? and do they still own his rights this whole season?

We should sign that Roy Williams guy. I remember he was really good at Texas :D

You're asking the wrong person. I have no clue. Sorry, man.

So in other words......Alvin Harper

Keeping an eye on Mike Thomas in Jax; Ben Obomanu and Deon Butler in Seattle and Marc Mariani in Tenn;

Are they stars? No. But they only have to be appreciably more reliable than our WR3. Was Laurent Robinson anybody in week 2 last season?
