Regardless how good or bad we play or how close or far away we end up in a game, the bottom line is we can not win a big game with a lot of hype. In the big games the past few seasons

07 playoffs vs Giants= loss
08 must win to close our stadium out=loss
08 win or go home game against Philly=loss
09 new stadium home opener where the world was watching= loss

Our four biggest games in the past few seasons, where the pressure in these games were highest, we are 0-4. It is what it is. Our team is such a tease and we need to accept that now. We have alot of players who hide in big games. On paper we have an awesome team but paper can't measure which players are actually winners or losers. I hope we can turn it around.

So your saying this game didnt have any extra pressure than say week 1 vs the Bucs? I have to disagree with you on that one. This game was more special than normal.

The Giants game last December had a lot of hype. We won by double digits.

The Eagles and Packers games early last season had a lot of hype. We won both.

The Packers game in 2007 had tons and tons of hype. We won by double digits.

The Colts game in 2006 had tons and tons of hype. We won that, too.

Being the first game in a new stadium doesn't make it any more important than any other game. The only reason this game was more important than the Bucs game was because it was a division game at home. If it was at old Texas Stadium, it would have been just as important.

I still disagree with you because unlike the games against the Giants(07playoffs), Ravens, and the Eagles last year, the games you mentioned still didn't have alot of pressure because we had the following weeks to make up if we lost. For example, 07 GBay we were I think 9-1, if we lost that game it wouldnt of been that bad. I'll give you the Giants last season. I know your saying you can say the same about this loss today but the honeymoons over. It was a big game with some added pressure(imo) and we lost. Yes, we can still make up for it but I don't like what Im seeing when you take in everything over the last couple seasons thats all. It was like same old same old. I really think we needed this game. Hopefully, we will turn it around.

Um, you do know that we have 14 more games to make up for this game, don't you? So by your own definition, this wasn't a big game with a lot of pressure.

(And the Ravens game last year wouldn't count, either, since we had another chance to make up for it.)

Steeler - 5 turn overs
Batl - 4 turn overs
Philly - 5 turn overs

07 we probably go to the SB

Gaints - 2 fumbles but we got them back - 1 int

pressure games but no wins

We always beat the Packers..... The Colts game in 06 had no hype, we were a young team with Parcells at the wheel and my cousin got the big pick 6 against Manning. We normally play good in the early part of the season but fade....Also in 07 we lost to NE, now that game was Hyped up....

The last 3 years we lost Critical games every year to end the season.... Seahawks, Giants, Eagles.... the bad thing is they were all home games...

I agree...specially for the fact that we lost both the last game in Texas Stadium and first game in Cowboys stadium...
and I still can't believe that Romo started again to collects Turnovers... :bang2:

Yesterday game was for sure a big pressure game 'cause the first in new stadium.
Last year game against Ravens was the last in old glorious stadium...and don't you call it a game to win?

1 big game win in December or January since 2006 isn't gonna cut it.

Try following the thread. He said, "the games you mentioned still didn't have alot of pressure because we had the following weeks to make up if we lost." By his own definition, those weren't games with a lot of pressure.

And no, I don't consider the last game at Texas Stadium or the first game at Cowboys Stadium to be any more important just because of those facts. If you lose those games and go on to win the Super Bowl anyway, nobody cares about the first/last game in some stadium, nor should they. The stadium is there for the game, not vice-versa.

drunken rant here. just pointing out we don't win enough games late in the year when they mean more. we're awesome September - November but after that this team barely wins anymore.

Hope you will be right but honestly I don't think so...looking at our secondary and to Romo turnover fashion.

IMO those are games to win, and the last year one, besides of being last match in Texas stadium was the game that could open our road to playoff...It's hard to not look at it as a 'must win' game
