Ezekiel Elliot carried the ball ten times on 1st and ten, not including the one that was called back on Collin's penalty, nor the 1st and 8 at the goal. He gained a total of 14 yards, for an average of 1.4 yards a carry.

In every single one of those ten plays, he was tackled by a defensive lineman.

Since 1970 only 23 rookie runningbacks have carried the ball more than 15 times on opening day. Elliot was 2nd to last in average yards per carry. Trent Richardson is last place.

Since 1999, only 4 rookie quarterbacks had 40 or more attempts on opening day. All four were losses. However, Dak did have the best QB rating, the other 3 quarterbacks were 1st round picks.

Three of the Cowboys six accepted penalties were by offensive linemen and two of them in the last five minutes of the game.

The Cowboys had 21 more offensive plays than the Giants.
