If he signs his tender, that’s $31 million. 16 million after taxes and agent fees is what he is guaranteed for 2020 + all advertising money. Generations could live off of that.
I think's it's 31.5 million...How much are agent fees? 3% I found this nugget (Sports agents generally receive between 4 and 10% of the athlete's playing contract, and 10 to 20% of the athlete's endorsement contract, although these figures vary. NFL agents are not permitted to receive more than 3%, and NBA agents not more than 4%, of their client's playing contracts).

So it looks like you estimate is pretty accurate. I really thought agents got more and they do for endorcements, if the above is true. Which is kind of opposite I would think Dak's agent is currently advising for his player. The agent, if he was thinking for himself, would promote Dak to stay where he can make more in endorcements and take a little less in salary.

Interesting...

Agents also charge clients for services they provide other than contract negotiation i.e. running their affairs, publicity, "investment advice" etc. Where they do, it's often a percentage of salary or a set annual fee. There's also the shady area where some agents permanently own a percentage of a players "rights" and so are entitled to large portion of all income!.

Federal taxes would be about 37%. But that's before a tax specialist starts taking deductions and practicing the art of tac avoidance. Then there's estate planning and skipped generations planning. Capital gains saves another fortune. I'm sure dak has it covered

tax specialist=cheater

The Father of all Dak Threads?

You mean like the deadbeat Dad that drank all the money away, left the family when the kids were in grade school, and lived in a box under a bridge?

Dak's agents (who are actually the ones playin hardball. not Dak) aren't letting Dak go anywhere. It is just the game. They have to fight for their client and the Cowboys fight for cap dollars, but it is all a dog and pony show and it will all get done. Just not anytime soon. And why would they? What incentive?

Both sides will start negotiating sometime in June or July to get things done in earnest.
