This looks like a good invention to me. My complex already has something similar. It's a locker system that Amazon, UPS, FedEx, etc., has access to, and then you get a code via text to get your package. It's not perfect. If the lockers are full, a delivery person will leave the packages on the floor, but it's in a building that only residents have access to, and there are security cameras. You would have to be really stupid to steal one of those packages (but of course, some people ARE stupid).

Anyway, if you live in a house, this invention could really help. Seems like a great idea.

It's actually not legal to set a trap that could hurt someone, so be careful.
That's true. That's why they get away with glitter and fart bombs that just cause a nuisance, but don't really hurt anyone. But, yeah, you're totally right. If you made one that injured a thief, you could get in trouble, even if most of us here would not feel terribly sorry for the thief.

Is it booby trapped

Ha ha ha, this dude explains how to make his doggie doo spewing contraption for the porch pirates.

Alabama is fighting back against porch pirates. I'm also not loving the term "porch pirate." They're not pirates from Treasure Island. They're just crooks. I would rather call them something like "package thieves." "Cowards" and "losers" would also work.

Ha ha, here's some other idiots who threaten to call the police. LOL. What idiots. One lady's wig comes flying off. I could watch this stuff all day. It blows my mind when thieves think they're the victim.

Is that all real and not AI? Some of those people stealing... women in date attire, guy with confederate flags all over his truck making him about as easy to spot as.....

And the entitled reaction from some of these thieves about calling cops or suing someone....

Is our country really this bad now?

Okay, I'm annoyed. I should have looked at the videos more closely. I thought they were real, and I can't stand thieves. I've been annoyed when I find some video on Youtube that seems interesting, but it turns out to be AI slop. I catch a lot of them, but I didn't catch these ones, maybe because I really want to see porch pirates get the karma they have coming.

The exploding boxes are mostly fakes. This is the real one. First one starts at around 7:20
