Terrell Owens - wants to win, wants to win bad. Will yell and scream to get things going. Will go to defensive line and cheer lead and pump them up.

Tank Johnson - I dont know. But he looks mean enough to strike fear into opposing players as well as his teammates.

Marion Barber - Explosive and real live wire. A wrecking ball.

Roy- If he makes good on his vow that the big hits will be back this year. He can still be the most feared hitter in the game.

Witten- Plays like the helmetless run last year show to me the kind of fire he has in his belly.

Romo- His confidence, the fun he brings, the way the team rallys around him, to me he brings fire in those ways.

Someone on that defense needs to step up.

They just don't play mean. The NY defense played mean. I don't know, something about our guys.

I think Zach Thomas is going to bring some of that this season.

Hamlin seems to take control here and there by barking.

Romo was seen yelling at his linemen a few times last season.

The guy I really wish you show a little more anger when things aren't going well is Wade. I know it's not his way, but for some reason I think the players need to see the head coach pissed off when they mess up. He never gets in a players face to challenge them. Sometimes younger players respond to that and it gets them a little more focused in on what's going on.

Granted, barring injury, Anthony Spencer will not unseat Greg Ellis as starter at outside linebacker this season. However, if he plays significant minutes, I think everyone will see a fire that this defense is missing and it'll be opposing quarterbacks who will exhibit the fear. That's the vibe that I've gotten from this guy from jump. Just my opinion.

Ham did lead last year but it seemed almost by default -- Roy and Henry are pretty much mutes, so someone has to chirp.

I saw a good bit of Hamlin's play in Seattle and the one thing he didn't show here was the chippiness that he was know for with the 'hawks. He would regularly get in the face of opponents, push, shove, trip, annoy, etc. Some of that was a lack of discipline but some of it is attitude and swagger that we need.

IMO, there's not enough.

Zach will help.

I believe that the December-January letdowns are partly because this team doesn't have enough fire-in-the-belly, hate-to-lose guys. The early 90s Cowboys had tons of guys like that. Now, there's just a few.

And they're especially important when you have a laid-back head coach.

Dware is obviously a silent leader. Hamlin jacks the team up with hits, roy used to do that daily, but not lately. Canty seems loud

Anyone remember when the cowboys were playing the texans, i cant remember what happend but roy looked to the sidelines and goes "yall *** up now" and than he lit some people up. I hope he brings that back this year.

WWJD?

Not that clearly. You won't see that again.

Going and screaming at people doesn't mean you want to win any more than the other players. At all.

exactly. We need an attitude and to play with a chip on our shoulder like the giants did in the playoffs.

No mention of Bradie James? He's the first guy I think of when considering our defensive players with "fire".

I love what T.O. brings to our huddle and sideline. When things are going bad, you need a guy who's getting PISSED and is ready to fire up his teammates. That was once Michael Irvin's role on the sideline, now it's T.O.'s.

Comments on Roy- Big hits was not the problems for roy last few year. Everybody know Roy good on tackles and helping on the run but can he improve cover and play action

T.O. is the main one, but add Ware and Pacman to the list. Ware brings fear to the other teams just because of what he does and when he makes a play he fires everyone up and Pacman, you'll see soon enough, QB's will be worried about throwing in his direction.

What?

Who are you and where did you come up with that?

Hmmm.

Maybe Roy's inability to cover is something we should discuss a little more.

Let's break this down, shall we?

This reminds me... I've bit my tongue on this issue for years, but does anyone else disagree with the decisions made at QB when the job was between Quincy Carter and Chad Hutchinson?
