And, if you are fair, you can’t say it won’t be an exciting year for wins either. We don’t know yet how it will go, but we’ve got a lot of the key players left from 2016, The Zeke drama is past, and the defense has a lot of exciting young talent that should continue to improve. Obviously there are questions and concerns too, but there isn’t any impossible to climb mountains n I see either.
i would normally say "yes i can" i saw last year as a disaster right at TC, and the 2nd game of the season proved me right. the only part i wont do is put it down before because i dont know where it will collapse. But we cant deny the facts and JG history is now fact and in stone, above all else, its mediocre.
This years bad choices really came in the off season, i ll support the new coaches, i ll support the team, but for this many coaches to come in tells the fans its sticking with JG regardless of how he does and thats a bad precedent to set if you want to be champs. Clearly JG has another year to tool around and again, wins are not going to be important to him. Hes going to keep planning for the future which probably will have to show the next guy is going to have to scrap if he wants to win.
This or last season was the perfect season to bring in a new coach and staff and give him 3 years to show he can turn it around. Ok we are past that, fine. But going forward this is a lot of crude that JG is going to have to dump or fix.
Right now him and Linehan have a glaring problem, as they see it. "what to do with the best RB in the league" any other coach says run the crap out of him, JG and company might say "lets get a 1000 yard Wr out of this corp" Bad move if you dont have it. Worse move if you try to play WR by committee and you dont have a Terry Glenn. Id commit to the run and let the OL and RB take the bulk of the load and let Dak make his throws. Dak can make the defense earn every play. Play him to his strengths and let Zeke dictate the game. You have Zeke Rod, Bo and Austin if need be make it work.
People tell me we ll they ll put 8 in the box, Ok fine, we ll wear you down, grind you up. Dak can make the plays in the 4th. You wear that D down, the dont get better as the game goes on. JG is goign to have to learn to attack teams weaknesses. Not every team has the best CBs. Start attacking letting your qb get the yards you need while your running crew wrecks the D> Its all possible, but as i continue to watch a HC tell his organization, I cant do this, i cant fathom why we are waiting so long to do the right thing.
