The media asked Dak what it meant to pass Roger Staubach and be tied with Danny White for touchdown passes.
He replied, "Ask me when I have more wins or Championships", or something to that effect.
It's possible that Mike McCarthy has had a maturing effect on Dak.
He still has his flaws, but they seem to bother him more.
It's not just standard comments to the media anymore that put the blame on others.
I do like that. Maybe he's growing up?
Maybe he's finally acknowledging what we've seen in his play, and is working on it?
At any rate, I was impressed.

That first half pissed me off, that over throws to Gallup and that int, that he should never have thrown were bad..he needs to stop these 1st half meltdowns, lucky we were playing the colts... second half, different story of course..need to play like we did against the Vikings more consistently.

There is NO excuse.... ZERO...... for not making it to the super bowl this year. The NFC is wide open. We have the defense. We have the skill position players. We have a good enough OL........ Sf is down to their 3rd string QB. We just need the good version of Dak and that starts with fewer turnovers. 5 INTs over the last 3 games. He needs to clean that up. We have an easy stretch of schedule and Dak needs to use it to sharpen up.

Yup, this is the year....but as SF learned it can change in one tackle....just got to keep going.

Making it to the NFC Championship game would be a significant achievement.

I’m not convinced yet that they can make a Super Bowl run.

Dak stayed in his lane and did what he did...and escaped when it was needed.
Came out injury free.

Seriously, he just threw ceedee, Schulz, and others under the bus the last two weeks. He’s matured? Not likely, more likely he knew there was no debate this time, he threw multiple passes that should’ve been picked.

....Dak is maybe realizing now, that stats are no big deal. You want championships under your belt. Staubach had 5 NFC championships and 2 SB championships.

So Dak, is in a good place mentally. Dont want to end up like Marino, Romo, and sleuth of others with tons of stats, but no ring.

Saying all the right things. He's done it since day one as a Cowboy.

Just needs to get it done on the field in January.

not exactly saying all the right things all the time. Dak saying that he supported the fans throwing trash at the refs after the Niners game wasn’t one of them. I don’t like revisionist history

Dak never said he supported those fans.. He simply said "good!" in a momentary lapse of judgement and frustration for which he quickly apologized. I don't mind guys slipping up and being human about losing and especially about getting screwed by the refs after they had fought their way back into that game and had a chance to win it. Fine if they got the opportunity and failed.. but to be robbed of it because a ref ran into Dak on his way to spot the damn ball? He DESERVED to be trashed. He ran 40 yards and somehow managed not to see the 240 pound dude in his way as he approached the ball? GTFOH!!? Even if it was an honest mistake it was still inexcusable given the stakes.

Dak needs to be that bus driver that makes a few plays. This team will go as far as the running game takes it.

The excuse is that San Fran (it's going to be different without Jimmy G but he may be replaceable,) Philly, and even teams like Tampa are tough to beat in the playoffs. Are we capable of beating them? Yes, but they are also capable of beating us. That's how it works. The NFC is wide open but I guarantee you Philly feels the exact same way.

When it pertains to PR Dak is King!
On the field a need to be carried fraudo King.
It is what it is.......

Dak has played well during the playoffs his rookie year (2016: 103.2 passer rating) and 3rd year (2018: 91.3 passer rating). Last year (2021: 69.3 passer rating) is when he played the worse. Then again, his Offense never established a running game in 2021, and Dak was sacked 5 times in 1 playoff game/loss. The rest of the team did not step up and do its job.
