Okay so take this for what it is worth. My lawyer used to take me to the Dallas vs Eagles game out in philly all the time. He knows that I am a huge football fan so he gave me a call when he heard this news. Apparently a friend of his just settled out of court with the NFL. He represented some casinos out in reno, They were supposedly sueing the NFL because they had proof that the Colts vs Pats game was fixed. His friend said that they had audio footage of certin Colts players that said they were told by NFL higher ups to make it look like a good game but to lose. The players signed paper work confirming the story and said that they were not the only team. The NFL settled out of court before the paper work was even filed and had everyone sign documents that said if anyone spoke a word of it that the money would be given back to the NFL and a trial would take place. My question to you is did we throw the game? Please say it isn't so. Also did you suspect anything? I mean the Pats going on a hot streak like this after they get cought cheating and all the pappers and video being destoyed... Kinda fishy to me.

I highly doubt this is legit info, I think your friend is laughing at you right now.

As for the Colts players saying "they were told to throw the game", I dont buy it. Sounds to me like excuse for blowing a 10 point lead with 8 min left.

The Pats are getting all the calls this year and everybody they play gets called for tick tack crap, but I would not go so far as to say the fix is in.

You may be right but it just seemed a little fishy to me. I mean Vrable with his late hits and the spygate cover up all the calls that go in their favor and the noncalls against them it just seemed weird to me. And if goodell would destroy the evidence to save the pats image how far would he go to fix it?

This is what bothers me the most out of this entire situation. Why did Goodell burn all the other tapes before the media could get a look at them, makes no sense.

Does make you wonder........

Yeah, Miami really has the best team but they have been losing on purpose so people in Reno can make money.

Man, are the Dolphins good. They had me believing they really sucked.

The question is, will Ricky Williams be willing to sacrifice for the good of the team and smoke some pot so he gets suspended again to keep them from winning?

Stay tuned....

What is the name of the mobster who would call Howard Stern?

I remember him saying Vegas fixed all big games in sports and the leagues were in on it.

He stated the refs were used for the most part to control outcomes.

Just like the moon landing conspiracy theory, this one falls on its face because there were and are too many people involved. Someone would eventually spill the beans for either money, truth or guilt's sake.

Even if it was an occasional game that was fixed, the same logic applies. There are too many retired players that obviously still care about the game for it to be a sham controlled by an unseen mafia. Gambling and game fixing have always been under the league's intense microscope because they know it would kill the game if allowed to happen. The only possible scenario in my opinion is a player on the take for some quick cash, probably a kicker... but only for a game or two in his career. And that's more than likely a very rare occurrence because of his fear of being found out and approached by his teammates down the road somewhere.

The underworld, or what's left of it, makes enough money off of gambling without having to put the fix in and risk killing the goose that lays the golden egg.

I suspect the commish has fraudently buried some evidence related to Patriots cheating, which makes Goodell a cheat as well, which means the NFL has an integrity problem. But fixing games...are you wearing and armadillo helmet right now?

By the NFL, you mean the 32 NFL owners who appoint and fire the commissioner and actually make the major policy decisions (the commmisioner just carries them out)? So, basically, the other 31 NFL owners are in on the fix to make sure the Patriots are winning over their own teams? In fact, the other 31 NFL owners want the Patriots to win so badly, instead of their own teams, that they're willing to jeopardize the integrity and brand of the NFL, which is the biggest cash cow in professional sports and raking in each one of the owners cash by the truckloads just because they really like the Patriots. Either that or Goodell is working as a rogue, completely unknown to the NFL owners, and willing to jeopardize a job that pays him tens of millions that he's been groomed for for the last 25 years for actions that could see him jail time in a federal penitentiary ... just because he like the Patriots. And the fact that the NFL tried to masked the fix by having the refs throw 3 completely ridiculous phantom PI flags on the Patriots makes it all the more insidious.

Or maybe Patriots are just really good.

I'm trying to think which one is the most plausible scenerio.
