I will be the first to admit . I was focused on RT being an issue and all along it’s really LT that key position in the line that’s a glaring concern . Guyton shows flashes but misses way too many games to be dependable at this point . Next year he’s going into year three halfway through a rookie contract and I’ve defended him but man he doesn’t look like anyone you want to think of ever extending unless 2026 shows vast progress . Having said that and given all the defenses problems the FO better identity a FA tackle to sign to add to a mix that yes includes Steele Guyton Thomas and a vast veteran upgrade is needed .
Running back again I go back to defense and just about every pick has to be on D meaning Javonte Williams should be a FA you bring back . He’s proven his worth here now find a reliable change of pace back who might be a Mafah or Israel A , guys already here .
Not sure what’s happened to Pickens but wouldn’t the Cowboys get at least a 3rd to 4th rounder as a comp pick in what 2027 ? And what did they get in the way of losing Dowdle as comp , based on that cheap salary I’m guessing not much .
This coming draft needs an Edge a LB and at least a safety and CB , a tall order for a team missing rounds 2 and 3 .
