HONOLULU (AP) — An actor known for playing “The Flash” in “Justice League” films was arrested after an incident at a Hawaii karaoke bar, where police say Ezra Miller yelled obscenities, grabbed a mic from a singing woman and lunged at a man playing darts.

Miller took issue late Sunday with people singing the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper ballad “Shallow” at a bar mostly frequented by locals in Hilo, a small town on the Big Island, Hawaii Police Assistant Chief Kenneth Quiocho said.

The song aggravated Miller, Quiocho said.

Miller, described in a news release as a 29-year-old visitor from Vermont, has been the source of police calls in Hilo 10 times since March 7, Quiocho said, adding it's not clear how long Miller has been on the island.

The guy is becoming Shia LaBeouf 2.0. Miller has talent. Just a shame.

As I remember, this isn’t the first incident with this guy. Looks like yet another bad casting choice by Warner Bros.

I would agree Miller was a bad casting decision in that he has issues interacting with the rest of society that are more apparent now than when he was picked. His acting range (to me) seems pretty good for someone as young as him. Warner Bros hoped they could capitalize on that. Unfortunately, it does appear they have been snakebit again.

Had anyone ever heard of him before he was casted as the flash? How do you filter an unknown?

Warner Bros had warnings ahead of the start of Flashpoint filming but obviously went ahead with him anyway.

This incident should be the last straw.

Good question. An outsider like myself was only familiar with his earlier work on Royal Pains, one of my wife's favorite television shows when it initially aired and I watched with her. There was nothing that blew me away but there were signs (for me at least) that he had potential. Of course, I do not care about actors' personal lives until something hits the news.

On the other hand, I have wondered for awhile whether casting directors do adequate background checks on candidates. It would seem like the smart thing to do towards protecting their overall production.

And they lost.
I'm still going to watch it.

It would be hypocritical of me to boycott a movie I want to watch because of some controversy the lead actor was involved with, especially considering the crap I've done in my life.

He's a kid, doing dumb kid things. Either he'll grow and mature, or he won't.

Still watching the movie.

Anyone here not watch Robert Downey Jr. movies? I still watch Mel Gibson movies because I like his acting. I don't agree with a lot of political or social views of actors but that doesn't stop me from appreciating their craft. I am the same way about musicians.

At the most, he should have been asked to leave the bar. I do not understand why he would be arrested for that. I was not there, but in my opinion, it was most likely some petty cops or bar owner who wanted to arrest someone who is famous. Hopefully it does not harm his lively hood

My point is I don't think a bunch of people will say "oh miller got arrested, I'm not going to watch the flash movie".

So it doesn't make it a bad choice by the WB. The money it makes, or doesn't make, won't be based on Miller's behavior. It will be based on whether it's a good movie or not, among other factors.

And I’m 100% certain that it doesn’t help. Nobody is going to rush out to see a movie starring an unlikeable person who can’t behave himself. Shia LeBouf is a perfect example.

From blockbuster Star to a footnote.

He's had 10 incidents since March 7th so I'm not sure how that's the police's fault. It's obvious the guy's an *** and has some anger or drinking issues. From the article, "Miller was arrested at Margarita Village shortly after midnight Monday and charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. Miller was released after paying $500 bail. Hours later, police escorted Miller off a Hilo property after a resident called police asking for advice about removing two houseguests from his property, Quiocho said."

Even the people he was living with had to call police to have him removed the same evening he was arrested. This dolt is harming his livelihood......not the police or anyone else.
