The fork is pointing in Dallas' direction

If Dallas somehow loses to the Cardinals, you can pretty much put a fork in them. At best, they could go 8-8 with the remaining schedule. Sad but true.

At the start of the year, we all pointed to the first 10 games as the worst part of the schedule - we've got 4 of the last 6 at home with 1 very tough game (Giants in NY) and 5 games against weak and mediocre opponents.

If we are 5-4 after next week, we will have played 6 of our first 9 on the road and come out OK. Yes, 6-3 would be better. But this was a tough stretch and folks need to have more reasonable expectations -- road wins, especially division ones are hard to come by.

I can agree with most of what you say except i can't put New Orleans, @ Atlanta or even Philly in the weak/mediocre catagory. Must wins? Yes. Mediocre competition? Not from where i sit, but hey, what do i know?

With 5 teams sitting at 4-4 and maybe even Seattle after tonight, this may be one of those years where 9-7 makes it?

If they lose to Arizona they will NOT go 8-8, that you can book. It'll be 2002 all over again.

Who cares about "making it" at 9-7 only to make an early exit in the playoffs? This team is a lost cause, and I pin it directly on Bill Parcells.

This is the most undisciplined football team we've had since the Dave Campo days, and the ship is sinking fast. Discipline starts with the coach.

Parcells spends too much time doing a psychoanalysis of his players, and less time on fundamentals. Look at Sean Payton in New Orleans. He doesn't analyze his players to death, and focuses solely on discipline, with less talent on his team mind you.

Normally I would agree about making it playoffs with a 1 and done... but if we make it with Romo... then THAT is progress.

Good point! Plus, ya never know once ya get there. I know that 1991 PO trip made a difference for the team in 1992 post season.

This loss was very frustrating, but not the end of the world.

Take a look at the NFC standings and you'll feel better.

Even if you concede the NFC East to the Giants, the Cowboys are in the thick of the Wild Card race.

Yes it did, but not for the reasons we would all like to believe. The 1991 team lacked playmakers on defense, and we got blown out by the Lions in the 1991 Playoffs. In 1992, we drafted defense and signed Haley. The team fixed the problem areas.

The problem area with this team right now is the head coach who has his head in his rear end. How do you fix that problem?
