Not true. The previous regime was going to hire Johnson as D Coordinator to take over for Landry when he retired. The plans changed when Bright sold the team.

It started 30 years ago, but Jerry has been a historically bad franchise GM for 30 seasons in a row and counting. It’s not an isolated, one time incident, it’s a way of life.

Goodbye threads are hard to believe.

Why?

Two reasons.

One, it takes zero effort to do what the message says without typing the message in the first place.

Two, it is exceptionally rare for someone actually typing the message to follow through with what they said. One day its goodbye. A future date it's hello. Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!

I think it's because most don't realize the repercussions of quitting this site. That's a lot of time to fill, what now? And then they find that they miss the camaraderie and conversing about the Cowboys. Simple inability to see the big pic in a forward sort of capacity.

I doubt there is less caring about repercussions after the fact and more seeking likeminded confirmational justification before the initial farewell is ever typed.

I think it's just hard to quit a team that You've been a fan of most of your life. I've often said that if I was smart I would have left the team after Jimmy was fired. Now it's just too late. Put too much time and effort into this team. I don't particularly like Goodbye threads either but I understand them because they are made out of frustration.
