The fourth down pass to Ezekiel Elliott is why Dak Prescott is not seen as an elite quarterback.
As well as the intercepted screen pass.
When things go badly, Dak is the first to choke.
He's great as long as he gets to hide behind the team that is doing well, but his tendency to choke rivals Donovan McNabb when things don't go well.
The Cowboys are going to have to make a choice, but signing him to a long term, high dollar contract could cripple the franchise for years to come.

Those plays reminded me of his first 2 years, when he seemed like he was afraid of overthrowing it, so instead he'd badly under throw it. He was playing so well this season, I thought he'd gotten past the jitters of pressure, but he still has a ways to go. He's going to be re-signed, no question, so I hope he signs for a price that will allow them to keep a good supporting cast around him throughout his career.

One even though a high snap was a very poor decision, on the interception.
The goal line pass was just pathetic.

Makes me take it down a few notches on if Dak is the QB or not. I still was not sure, but was warming up to the idea. As he is much better than some give him credit for.
Then he does those type of things, along with the fumbles. It was like we were watching him in 2017 later in the season like the Atlanta game.

I still say let a new coach decide what to do, sign him, tag him, let him go in FA and see what he is offered.

The pass is one of the MANY reasons he isnt an elite QB or even close to one.

Its funny because fans clowned Wentz on his swing pass to the flats, but Dak’s was worse because he was inside a dome :laugh::omg:

The play call was terrible. Zeke was not going no were. Dak has developed well in 4 years. He is a top 12 quarterback in the league. That's saying a lot for 4th round pick. Dak should take the deal the Cowboys are offering before we hire a new coach.

Gallup was wide open coming over the middle, his defender was picked...he had to be the primary read there. He was open and it would have been a td or gallup would have been stopped at the 1.

instead he threw a ball into the ground.

Dak never gave Zeke a chance.
When you're a franchise quarterback and it's fourth down you don't throw the ball into the ground.
This is why Dak isn't a franchise quarterback.

Yeah it was disappointing to say the least.

No doubt Dak regressed to his old self-yesterday. He was slow getting rid of it, indecisive, taking bad sacks, missing throws that should be easy, etc. The question is why? Was there something the Bills were doing to get Dak off his game? Hopefully its a one game thing because the Cowboys have a big decision to make.

What concerns me more is why the Cowboys went away from the run so quickly. Zeke had 12 runs all day despite having more room to run since the Giants game. The game was not a blowout until about 3:30 left in the 3rd quarter. There were games like the Vikings game where the Cowboys had no running room and insisted on running and then in this game where there was room they stopped running. My question is, is it Dak changing the plays from run to pass at the LOS? Or is it Moore? And if it is Dak, is he changing to passes more often because he is thinking about his contract? Is he trying to make himself the top guy on offense to boost his asking price?

IMO, Dak is the guy for Dallas but he is not going to carry the team on his back like Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers, ever. The Cowboys needs a balanced offense that runs first and throws when the other team is giving up the pass to stop the run. This doesn't mean run all the time or every first down either. It means running about 50% of the time and not giving up on the run when the score is 16-7 with more than a quarter to play.

Who is a franchise quarterback in your eyes? Wentz, Goff, Lamar, ect.

That was pretty bad, but I'm not buying into your narrative, Hiding behind what team? Are you serious???

Nobody is satisfied with how this season has played out, but trying to pin it all on Dak isn't the answer. It might satisfy your need to apply blame, but I'm afraid it's been a team wide problem.

I think Dak could benefit from seeing a sports psychologist, because there seems to be something that gets into his head at times.

I agree
When the wheel starts turning the wrong way Dak has not shown the ability to make it stop and start it turning the right way
