On the road week 18
Thanksgiving against New York Jets
Open at New York Giants
It would not shock me to see Dallas in Philly on opening Sunday night. Goodell hoping to see Dallas' head get bashed in. On the bright side, at least the weather would not be a factor. Great ratings to start off the season.I hear ya but I changed my mind.
Before I posted a Dallas- NY Giant opener was what I thought too.
Now I'm not sure who Dallas opens against but I bet the NFL does a big New York thing for the first Monday night game that is on 9/11.
Jets and Giants.
I don’t think they’ll open in Philly. They’ll want a game like the Super Bowl rematch week 1It would not shock me to see Dallas in Philly on opening Sunday night. With 25%, to a third of the schedule will be made public before Thursday night.Three hour show.
LOL
Just like the combine, the draft, etc.NFL knows how to milk its product
It's already been done now over the last half-decade or so (remember the 2017 release production - with the individual teams getting creative - with GIF, plus star players (and an owner or two) being "master of ceremonies" to running down the schedule lineup?Eventually the release of the NFL schedule will be a prime time event. Goodell will walk out on stage to a podium and the schedule will be unveiled with a drum roll on a huge screen to some Oohhs and Aahhs from the live audience. They’ll have a panel of experts dissecting the schedule. You can almost book it. lol
The NFL schedule release is getting bigger every year. Decades ago there was virtually no mention of it. You would just look in the newspaper to see what your teams schedule would be.It's already been done now over the last half-decade or so (remember the 2017 release production - with the individual teams getting creative - with GIF, plus star players (and an owner or two) being "master of ceremonies" to running down the schedule lineup?
NFL Nerwork and ESPN have had a good handle on doing the presentation. Expect Amazon - and other NFL broacast partners - to jump in and present their show.
No need for the Commisioner to horn in on the fun.
