A lot of chatter about the future and "the next 10 years"...I am all for it and share the optimistic outlook based on the contributions of our young players (not just Dak and Zeke mind you)...was there in the 90's as a fan and later THOUGHT we were there in 06/07 during the early days of Tony and that team (remember the 13 Pro Bowlers?). I WAS CERTAIN 2008 was our year to win it all (actually thought we had an awesome chance in '07) and that we would contend for the next 10 years, etc.

Alas, we all know what happened from 2010 on. As a fan of this team for 40+ years, I got to say that I've come to learn the ultimate importance of "seizing the moment"...just saw this shared by Raw Lewis and it so resonated with my feelings about this year's Cowboy's team and the opportunity before us...great watch and it should shape how we view things going forward to a great extent.

Seems to me that you have a 3-5 year window in this league today. Unless your team is nicknamed Patriots.

The NFL window has always been one year because of free agency and the fact you play a vastly different schedule every year. The Panthers were 15-1 last year and their quarterback was the MVP and just entering his prime. Now they're 2-5. And this same situation has happened countless times over the years. The future is indeed now for this Cowboys team.

Ray Lewis talk to dang much, he needs to just go somewhere and clam up

So true. Nevertheless, I can't help but think the arrow is probably pointing up for next year as well.
An improved pass rush in 2017 would be epic. (I'm surely not taking it for granted, though.)

Yeah...the Pats are nuts in terms of the longevity of success...who knew cheating would be so effective!?!?!
