I will start from the beginning.
The defense came out and played hard.
- props to Glenn and Henry. Henry was on a mission.
- props to Roy for INT. Say what you want but he either there making a play or just missing it.
- Bobby Carpenter future is bright. Bill seems to have brought him along well.
- Watkins is gonna be good. Cant wait to see him next year.
Special Teams/Kicking
- McBriar is the man.
- Miles could be our guy. He is exciting. I see him getting better as he goes.
- Too bad Grammy didnt get a chance to kick that ball in the end. He did try and push the defender that eventually tackled Romo short of 1st down/TD
Offense
- Romo had some major problems getting started but then settled down
- All the talk about how their secondary was gonna get torched by our WR's gave me a bad feeling... it seems I had heard that 3 or 4 times this year and all of sudden the opposing hurting defense was all pro.
- We STILL dont find ways to use Owens effectively
- It would be easy to make Terry Glenn the goat.. but I wont... I would rather just say that he was trying to make something happen and "stuff happens"... if we would have been able to open up the offense he probably wouldnt have been as desperate(which led to careless with the ball)
- Props to Julius.... it seemed like the Seahawks got his motoro running... if only he could have scored the 7....
- Is it just me or did we see atleast 2 catches that were called fumbles(Wittens and Glenn's) when during the year we saw receivers catch balls and take more steps(football moves) and they were called incomplete? Wittens wasnt a fumble IMO... Glenn could have gotten the same call... I didnt like the play call anyway.... it was risky down by your own goal line
I think the BIG question here is.... Will Romo grow and be on a mission next year? OR will he get the "wet ball" excuse and sort of forget about and deem it "one of those things that happen".... I would prefer the former. He was getting as loose with his attitude and interviews as he was getting with the ball.
I would like to see this team together(for the most part) next year. A full camp and preseason with Romo and Co.
When it comes down to it... we settled for too many FG's when we SHOULD have gotten TD's.
Damn I thought Romo was gonna score when he ran towards goal line :starspin
