The genius coaching hire(s) of Cowboys Coach Brian Schottenheimer

In football, a head coach relies heavily on his assistants, who play a crucial role in various aspects of the team. Assistants provide support, expertise, and leadership in areas like game planning, player development, and recruiting. While the head coach ultimately leads the team and makes final decisions, the assistants are integral to the team's and head coach's success.

In this thread, we will discuss new Cowboys Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer's first and extremely critical coaching hire in Offensive Coordinator Klayton Adams...

This approach has double benefits , if Adams can get the best out of this young OL and Rbs , since Our D will be practicing against will learn how to stop the run, which is a sore area.

I think our coaching personnel is better than average, although, the schedule is basically scary. I'll be keeping my expectations at arm's length in hopes of improving in the long run. Here's hoping Jerry and Stephen have finally decided to be more proactive in the offseason. If not, it's likely to be difficult to retain the good vibes we've found, even with a current scenario that's been productive.

Let's just hope our current enthusiasm continues well into the future. It might easily take another year to get there, though. That's especially so, with many youngsters to develop, new coaching and a very challenging schedule that awaits. It's, also, been an offseason to be pleased with, imho.

I think coordinators Moore and Quinn did better at their jobs than McFraud did his during his time..

That trend will probably continue with this hire.

As soon as "mcfraud" took away play calling from kellen dak was an mvp candidate. Make it make sense

Yeah, but aint it funny how in such high demand he was(sarcasm extreme) while his 2 coordinators moved on to new HC jobs?

Him and his boy Solari, both dinosaurs who the game has passed by.
RIP McFraud.

Because it's working. The person you originally replied to was faulting the Cowboys for doing the same thing over and over when it's NOT working.
It didn’t work until last year….Ravens, Bills….it’s not working. You keep going until it works by actually building a team.

I mean Quinn and Moore weren't high demand either. You're arguing mid vs mid vs mid

No, Im ultimately saying who's sitting at home and who's coaching.
New Orleans chose to wait for Kellen to get done with the Super Bowl and name him HC over a washed up McCarthy.
Thats all I'm saying.

Cheers to a McCarthy 2026 comeback tour if that's what you're after, shrugs.
With these Jones Boys, it wouldn't even shock me if Dallas re-hired McFraud.

Cowboys!

Again mid vs mid vs mid. Just because saints wanted new blood doesn't make him better. When Moore washes out you'll pretend you weren't trying to cape for him.

I could care less what happens to Kellen Moore.

I just knew from day one McCarthy was a fraud who had been carried by a 1st ballot HOF QB 15 yrs ago to his one trophy.
He further demonstrated a gross fail of underachievement in coaching by having won only one with that level of quarterback play for so many years.

It's all good,
I just have a lower opinion of his actual coaching ability than you.
Opinions differ.
I can respect that.

Cowboys!
