I'll be rooting for the Dolphins. It's time for them to really step up their game and maybe that will happen in London. Sure would like to see the Giants with another loss on their record.

BTW: Remember when Jerry said the Cowboys would not be participating in any of those international overseas games -- that it just wasn't our thing. Well, the owner of the Miami Dolphins came out and said if the NFL determines we will play 2 games other seas then Jerry Jones won't have a choice. Hopefully Jerry works out some kind of arrangement (quid pro quo) so we don't have to go or maybe we can play in Mexico. Think playing overseas games in Europe is dumb. Let Buffalo play 1-2 games in Canada if they need to expand their fan base.

Also read somewhere that the Cowboys are the most favorite team in Britain with the Giants and Dolphins (probably because they playing there now) as next favorite. The new Wembley Stadium they playing in will be awesome for us to see. Our new stadium is built a lot like Wembley.

Personally, I think games overseas are here to stay.

Some of the announcers here in the UK are saying that if this experiment works, that perhaps 5-10 years from now, there could be several international franchises, i.e., NFL franchise in Mexico City, London, and maybe 1 in Canada.

It's a great way to expand the business of the NFL.

I can watch NFL total access in London, monday night football, and 3 NFL games on Sundays.

I think the popularity of the NFL is really growing in the UK.

NFL franchise in Mexico City, London, and maybe 1 in Canada

There are a couple of points to make here. In most of the world, people do not make enough money to spend disposable income in the quantities needed to make an NFL franchise profitable. Mexico City is perhaps the only place in Mexico or Cental America capable of supporting an NFL team and I'm not sure about that because soccer remains the most popoular sport there.

I'll be curious to see if the UK has sufficient fans to actually support a franchise. Soccer remains king in Europe and the kids don't play (American) football. Perhaps the single largest advantage for American football is how well the sport presents itself on television. Football is king in America because of the college tradition and because the sport makes such a great combination with television.

We'll see.

Not sure about your 1st point, from what I recall the Brits are about as affluent as Americans, so I don't think 50 quid for tickets is going to be a problem, not when they are paying 3 times that much to see mid season cup games. The rest of the locations I am pretty sure it would have to be a fairly large city for them to even consider doing it.

You're second point is mostly correct at the present time. But in the time frame we are talking, it is going to be outdated. Youth American Football Leagues are popping all over the UK and there are several adult American football leagues already running (Flag and Tackle). It will never overtake Soccer, but it is gaining popularity very rapidly with the availability of games over there now.
